The two American Voyager spacecraft made those first explorations of the outer Solar System on their collective ''Grand Tour'', now we are exploring these worlds beyond the asteroid belt up close, with a number of new generation spacecraft.
The first of these spacecraft, Cassini - An American spacecraft, launched in the late 1990's. Its mission: To explore the Saturnian system; Saturn itself, it rings and its moons. It carried along a European probe named Huygens, which would go on to make the first soft landing on any world beyond Mars, and give use the first pictures from the surface of Titan.
Here is a video, entirely made of real photographs taken from the Cassini orbiter. I sure hope Juno beams back such wonderful photos too.
