It is a Refurbished Thompson Sky HD Box, but I might talk to the person who did both installs to see what he says. However if the box cannot get replaced for free, then I might just go out and buy one of the newer ones.

But even if I do buy a new one, then I might have to watch episode 2 on BBC iPlayer. Since I don't get paid until the 3rd of July.

i havnt checked to see if anyonesposted this yet, and i would like to make it clear that i am taking the piss out of this. But on the TG website, they are advertising that the stig will be revealed in tonites show. And now it is being considered true.

However as i am sure we will all agree, it is Jezza making media hype to promote the show. lol

I presume its due to the low budget, and there trying new means. Bit am i right in thinking this kind of stunt has been played before by th team?

Yeah I know, it will be to get more interest. But I reckon it'll be something like he'll take his helmet off and he will just have a blank face or something silly like that.

i think it is shumacher just for this, as they said with the ferari that u can only take it to track days. I dont think he is the real Stig

It could explain his really quick lap in the ferrari fxx. Plus, the stig wasn't that tall; which he isn't!

White Stig has been about for ages, Shumi was still in F1 when White Stig appeared.

I reckon its just cause they wouldn't let anybody else touch the Ferrari.

yes, good point. it wasnt compulsory to have seatbelts bak in 1940, and in most classic cars today, it is not compulsory to have seatbelts in the rear. My dads 2 RS MK1 escorts dont have to.

My opinion on the whole stig revelation. The stig is several people, hence the rediculously faster time for the FXX, theres no way that car is 7 seconds quicker than anything else. Top Gear wanted more viewers, which they got, and did anyone notice the drifferent way 'the stig' behaved with schuee under the suit. He was more animated and made more normal hand gestures.

I can see a flaw in my point that it cant be several people as the times would be unfair but, there are two explanantions:
1) - average time,

or the more realistic 2) the times arent that accurate - for goodness sake its top gear, the comedy show with cars, not fifth gear, the consumers show!

Or it could just be that each time the stig has been made public they have changed him. So for last night it was him but then it will be a mystery going forward.

It was only him cause that was his own FXX

I would have liked to see him do an actual lap in the Suzuki rather than driving into cameras, even although it was hilarious

I agree, it's nice to have Top Gear back on Sundays again - but that James May programme was fantastic & I'm not all that interested in space travel personally...

the stig is a guy called Ben Collins.

Schuey was only there to drive the Ferrarri

Murcielago SV

I saw this episode 2 rehearsal shot on the Top Gear website, which shows what food is eaten and what drinks get drunk by a lot of people who work on the show. Which also includes the crew:



My thoughts: The only heathey stuff they have there is the water of course.

Now for something a bit better, it looks like the Murcielago SV will be doing a lap around the test track:

hmm, is that a certain Mr. Richard Porter in that picture, or do I just assume that everyone in the Top Gear team is Richard Porter

...I dunno TVR there appears to be some Ginsters in the background. I believe they're quite healthy. Certainly clean your system out with the amount of pepper they put in them!!
