Re: The Brown Trousers Thread
Good god there must have been liquid down on the circuit before the corner for that to happen, and what were the drivers behind doing yellow flags are there for a reason argh it's so annoying when the warnings are there but they just don't obey them!

Re: The Brown Trousers Thread
This one has to be one of the worst crashes where the driver has lived. He was actually out of the car, the impact broke his harness, the marshalls were useless and in the end the team boss dragged him out of the car with no protection on, crazy stuff:
Here's some other bad ones though:

Re: The Brown Trousers Thread
What that second (Porsche & Ferrari Crash) video didn't show was that shortly after that particular clip ended, another racecar pulls up, the driver gets out and uses a fire extinguisher he has in the car to fight the fire on the Ferrari. Again, the driver (Tetsuya Ota) survived thanks to the selfless heroism of his comrades, however, the marshalls once again were woefully negligent. Particularly when they did get him out of the car, pretty much just leaving him on the tarmac. The fire was so intense, the visor melted on his helmet, and the way the marshal left him, essentially meant that the molten plastic was dripping onto his face causing more damage.
Re: The Brown Trousers Thread
An unbelievable crash.
Here's another extremely scary crash at the start of the CART race from Surfers Paradise in 2002. It's lucky that nobody was killed. Here's some amateur footage of it, which has to be one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen. In thick spray like that, cars just pile in.
Here is the TV view of the crash.. which wasn't very much.

Holy [Censored], that's like on Forza when you hit a wall and just come to a complete stop instantly.
They're the worst type of crash where all the energy is dissipated very quickly. Hope he's ok.
Also, what's that dickhead doing filming on a god damn iPad!?
