I agree that its sad Porsche has gone, but let me ease the pain.

Cayman and Boxter and Cayenne have gone. Not a biggie.

RS Spyder Prototype has gone. Biggest loss.

Porsche 962. Would've been a huge loss, but there wasn't ANYTHING for it to race against really that would be totally relevant. As such I never really saw anyone use it.

That leaves the many 911's. GT2, GT3 or otherwise. We have these though!! Very Happy

You're missing the 911 GT3 RSR though. Like you said, the RS Spyder is a big loss, but the road cars can be replaced. RUF can't replace GTE car.

That'd be kind of cool if you can just add all of the GTE aero onto a RUF, but still, this is the official game of the ALMS, and over a THIRD of the grid in the ALMS are driving Porsches: http://www.spotterguides.com/images/stories/guides/alms_11_road_america.jpg

A few things I noted that I didn't know before:

Autocross

These are class-based events on race tracks. However, these tracks have gates. Miss a gate and you will receive a time penalty. It’s amazing how much the games change the tracks. All of the racing lines you have become used to completely change and car setup is critical in these events.

The new tire model combined with simulation steering take drifting to a whole new level--more difficult, but very predictable and hugely addictive.

We’re happy to be bringing back user-hosted public lobbies, as we know it’s a feature that the community was asking for after Forza Motorsport 3.

Now the player gains manufacturer specific levels, called “affinity levels”. In this system, if you race in a BMW, you gain BMW-specific XP. You can buy and sell multiple BMWs without changing your BMW XP. Your BMW XP is only changed by the miles you race in BMWs. This XP leads to manufacturer-specific levels. These levels reward you with huge manufacturer-specific part discounts (up to 100 percent free parts), large cash bonuses (up to 150,000CR), as well as Badges and Titles for your Forza Player Card (more on that below).

True dat. I know I'm a little late but isn't Porsche the problem in the first place? Sure they signed some stupid deal with EA or something and I guess EA is being a bunch of $%^s about it, but you know, it's not like Porsche owns their cars or anything. I mean, if they want more money they could probably find a way to get their cars in the game. I've been looking around a lot and it seems like everyone wants to blame EA. I know EA isn't making things better or helping, but aren't we pointing the finger at the wrong person?

Did I miss something though?

I think EA is the main problem, but you're right, I don't understand why Porsche is stepping in and telling EA to share. I can't imagine that they paid enough for the license that Porsche wouldn't care about the loss of publicity from being in Forza 4.

Porshce as Dan said can not do anythink, EA have a exlusive licence for the time been, hey look RUF are great, the Yellow bird around Green Hell will be great and RUF retty much do mods on all current Porsche range, just rebadge in the paint mode.

I still have hope that Porshce DLC pack will become avliable next year.

The Liana looks quite similar to the Aerio sold here in the US. The Aerio was later replaced by the SX4 (which is also confirmed for FM4)
