17th July 2011 - 24 Laps of Le Mans 1998-2002 Tribute
* ignore the Merc!
Entry List
Race numbers are voluntary though race numbers will be given closer to event. This is your choice if you want to use them or not. If there continues a lack of GT entries, a slight alteration maybe given to the event.
Car List
* Porsche GT3-RSR is either of the Flying Lizard cars. I know its more recent but this makes it equal, and all 911s look the same don't they!
Car availability are as follows for each class
P1 = 3
GT1 = 4
GT2 = 6
For the sake of equality and not being able to afford all the cars to test, the cars will be no stock upgrades and tuning.
==================================
Summary
Qualifying - 15th July 2011 8-10pm & 16th July 2011, from 8pm-10pm BST
Race - 17th July 2011, from 7.45pm - 10.30pm BST
*Replays from all lobbies must be available after the event to simonbiggs, either on storefront of gifted
==================================
Qualification
- Drivers will have a 5 second per car roll off delay.
- Qually will be held in 30 min sessions on Friday 15th July and Saturday 16th July from 8pm BST (25 minutes of racing then 5 to collect results). Each driver may take part in a max of 2 qualification sessions.
Race
- Lobbies will be mixed classed lobbies similar to ISCC
Race will be set to 25 laps (1 parade and 24 racing laps), where at the end of the race each driver has to take their overall end time.
- Races will start with a rolling start..
Cars will stay at 100mph on the parade lap, before the ford chicanes the line of cars will reduce speed to 60mph and line up side by side in grid order, once you pass the pit entrance the pole sitter can shout go at any time before the start finish line, once go is issued there can be no overtaking until the start/finish line.
- With mixed lobbies comes greater risk of accidents, it is imperative that the faster cars take the needed steps to ensure a clean pass, slower cars you are to race your line, and it is up to the faster cars to find a way around, DON'T try to help them by moving over, because you may just be moving over into their path.

guess i will miss this event, as i'll be attending 'ConnectiCon 2011' that weekend. And i believe the day of this race coincides (sp?) with the Laguna Seca meeting for the Summer GT

Re: 17th July 2011 - 24 Laps of Le Mans 1998-2002 Tribute
Entry list up now. Lack of GT entries may see slight rules change which wont affect current entries, but spice things up a bit!

Re: 17th July 2011 - 24 Laps of Le Mans 1998-2002 Tribute
You can still enter as a team, but there are no strict team points and there has to be enough cars available. All the Audis have gone.

Ramoza the rules are the rules, while i appreciate you looking out i don't want the rules to be mended for me because then a few complaints could come foward like "But you did it for Louis!"

I've got Louis' Champion Racing Audi R8 paint which i ran for the Formula Le Mans series i think, and i could use that in the series on Louis behalf

If you don't mind Nick I really wanted to drive that paint but would rather see it on the grid at least... and if all goes well, will race against it
