TASCAR - Round 2 - Road America - 20th August

This Saturday, the TASCAR Race cars turn right, and left @ Road America, Saturday August 20th, 2011. 9pm BST (4pm EST)



Qualifying:

Lobby set to 4 laps, Limited Damage, Collisions On, Random Grid. Qualifying procedure will mirror qualifying at Sunset outside one thing. I will set a 10-second roll off per car, as with it being a 4-mile track, waiting will take a while. On your 4th lap, line-up as if your heading into Pit Lane. times will ge gathered once everyone has finished.

Race:

Race will be 30 laps. lobby would be set to 31, so lap 1 will be Grid Formation, and 'Pace Lap'. Limited Damage, & One Mandatory Pit

Cautions:

two or more cars involved, and agreed upon. pace speed will be 80mph. driver in first will do the 'countdown' anywhere between the beginning of Pit Wall and the Start/Finish line

30 laps! Sounds like a load of fun if we can get eight drivers. This is by far my favourite track.

How do you guys feel if I up the lap count to 32. Lap 1 as mentioned in the OP for the 'pace lap', and lap 32 would be the 'cool down' / 'victory' lap so I can correctly gather who finished where

I'm up for that.

Sorry guys I'm afraid I can't make any more races, the Virtual Motorsport ALMS series I have been involved in has been moved a few hours later than originally planned so it will be starting just an hour before this each week.

I'm not sure if I'll make it now, off on holiday tomorrow and have to be up early, put me down as a maybe though. I like Road America

Thanks everyone who showed up. slight hiccup with connection issues, but what a race between Dan and myself. i dont think the gap was any larger than 4 seconds. Well done Mate. i gave it my all at the end but picked the throttle up too soon exiting THE final corner, and easily handed it to you.

..looking forward to next week at Sedona. ran some laps, and i think it's going to be a nightmare @ turn 2, but exciting for the fans in the grandstands.

It certainly was an epic duel once again between us both. Reminds me of Sebring 2009 in the GT3's. I think my determination shone through and I wasn't gonna let you through Mark. Sorry! lol
You nearly did though, at turn 2 on my 1st lap with a new set of tyres.

Problem I had was a lack of testing with the Ford. Well, I say lack of but I didn't test the car at all before qualifying. But no matter, we're tied on points which is satisfying! Roll on Sedona this Saturday and another win, hopefully!

Sedona should be good fun, i'm not sure what it takes around there to be a winner, as its hard to pass, especially through 2.

Sedona will be a caution fest!

The characteristics for Sedona Oval, in my opinion, resemble both Dover and Darlington. Darlington because it hard to keep the car on the bottom of the track through the corners, and exiting turn 2 incorrectly, and the wall will let you know, (Known as picking up a 'Darlington Stripe') and Dover because of the track size and shape.

And on personal experience, past nascar games, I would sometimes smack the wall exiting turn 2 @ dover too

im looking to win at sedona and damn do i need to to win this championship! looking good in testing so far found a nice overtaking line too
