TORA MSA V8 Super Cars Ford v Holden "Poms Cup" - Rules and Discussion
The TORA V8 Supercar Cup starts Thursday, the 1st of December 2011.
The V8 Supercar Cup is designed to the most out of the Australian V8 Championship to create one V8 championship that we will call the "poms" cup. Cars with a V8 badge from Ford and Holden will be allowed and no Japanese 4wd!
Eligible cars for the series are:
2011 Ford Falcon at stock PI mate!
2011 Holden Commodore VE at stock PI mate!
Tuning will be allowed.
Damage will be set to Limited due to the nature of the racing.
There are no mandatory logos/stickers required, but you must run under your TORA Race Number and the website url is preferred along the top of the front window.
Auto-brake, Stabilty Control and ABS are banned.
Traction Control, Normal/Simulation Steering and Race Line are allowed and the choice is yours.
Points will only be scored by drivers, no teams involved, and the entry to the series will be relaxed. Points will be scored as per TORA standard.
To enter, simple post in the Entry Thread that you wish to take part in the series. We will then endevour to keep the list of names up to date and to send out invites to everybody who is on that list come race night.
There will be a qualifying session before the first race which will determine your starting position in Race 1. Race 2's starting order will be set in the finishing positions from Race 1. Qualifying will be a 3 flying laps, plus a warm up and cool down lap. Clean laps will NOT take preference over dirty laps, due to the nature of the cars and the fact that we are still learning the game.
Please see below for race structure which will feature a new twist to our mini series =
Maple Valley Short (yes short) - 1st December 2011 - 8pm x 3 races (10 - 15 minutes in length)
Race 1 = Grid order = Qualifying positions (1 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Race 2 = Grid order = Finishing positions of first race (1 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Race 3 = Grid order = Reverse grid of Race 2 finishing positions (1 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Camino Viejo de Montserrat Extreme Circuit - 8th December 2011 - 8pm x1 Race (1 hour Endurance Special)
Race 1 = Grid order = Qualifying positions (2 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Circuit de Catalunya National - 15th December 2011 - 8pm x 3 races (10 - 15 minutes in length)
Race 1 = Grid order = Qualifying positions (1 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Race 2 = Grid order = Finishing positions of first race (1 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Race 3 = Grid order = Reverse grid of Race 2 finishing positions (1 mandatory pit stop required, not on first or last lap)
Tsukuba Circuit Full Circuit - 22nd December 2011 - 8pm (1 hour Endurance Special)
