Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Ugh what a blahh night.. Qualified with a 1:25.630, enough to get me in the middle of Lobby B but... it was a dirty lap So I start in 8th position in Race 1, and right at the start gain 4 positions. Everything was going fine and finally took the lead on lap 8. I led the race for most of the time until lap 15 where I decided to brake a little late locking up and going off the track giving Stan the lead. Came in 2nd in the first race, happy with that So then in the first lap of the second race, I do a stupid move on stan for first, and end up getting sideways and collecting a car. (Sorry bout that guys) So with heavy damage had to do two pitstops, and ended in 8th place. Stupid mistakes ruined it for me Well it was great fun though, good job everyone and congrats to the winners!

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
once again thanks to everyone for a great evening.Had a bit of a battle with driftollie in the first race in lobby C (good stuff mate). Things didnt quite go according to plan in the second race tho. just a few laps in and Grizzz Dtf has a bit of an event and spins out at the bottom of the first hill ( unlucky). thaught i could sneak past on the left but he just rolled into my line ( no hard feelings tho ). the initial impact didnt hurt to much, but being redirected into the barrier on the left kind of wrecked ma car. we both limped into the pits for repair. Rejoining at the back of the pack.the problem now being that we both still had to do the mandatory pit stop too, which sort of ended our race. never the less still had a great time and looking forward to the next episode. Big UP's to standaman94 for a great result in both races. and to PLOW for showing us how its done.great job.

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Nice racing in Lobby C, clean race on Round 1 but a few crashes on round 2, one of which was on the 1st racing lap between Stan and Grizzz which didnt end too well, as Grizzz ended up collecting Ricard on the spin.
but thanks for a good race.

Round 2 start:

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
The car ran well here and was 6th of the grid, but had a crash in race one with one of the Lotuses which left my me with massive damage. In race 2 I was further down the gird and had to work my way up from 7th, managed to be sitting in 4th only a second or 2 from 2nd at the flag. I have to apologise to Magic and I damaged his car badly when I out braked myself on the back straight. Was going to surrender the place back to you but I was in a dangerous place so I just dived into the pits. Car is looking good for meeting 3 and I hope to get back up on the podium.

You kept me honest towards the end of that second race, after I did the exact same as you at the last chicane.

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Had some great racing 2night, GTR is a beast once driven correctly....a lot like most cars haha
Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Fallen in love with the GT series all over again. When I drove the SLS in the GT24 and tested for this series I was not enjoying it at all. Since I got my new wheel and a Magictap tune I felt like I had so much control over the car that I was able to be really confident with it that my pace has increased so much. I can't believe that I was just racing in A lobby with the GLR guys and having a great race with them. The cars are awesome, and when you have a lobby with so much diversity, yet such close racing, it's definitely quite an achievement.
Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
i was ringing the neck of that ferrari. on the final lap of race 2, i got down to a 1:23.8 chasing down Richy, which i have to thank Magictap for the tune (had to tweek it slightly to handle for a controller/pad user) i cannot wait til we head to a grip track!

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Had an average 1st race, no collisions and ended up 4th after starting 5th on the grid. Second race had a disaster. Was running second on Stands bumper for a few laps, after being 4th on the grid. Wating for a good spot to pass. Then......on the start finish straight my sound went haywire. Silence then very loud on 2 occasions. Very distracted, I came into the first corner way too hot and off into the far dirt. Back on and tehen a few laps later came up the hill after the left hander and was confronted by a litle accident and plowed straight into DZNY ( I think ). Nothing I could do. Heavy damage and fighting with the car to turn left. Struggled on and ended up 7th.
That's racing. No harm, no foul.

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Enjoyed both races in Lobby B, swapping positions with EZT Spartan was great fun. Managed a 1:24.9 in race #2 trying to reel in Bli33ard, and eventhough it didn't happen I still had a good time! Cheers to all.
Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
I'm extremely frustrated. Just wasn't my night again. Wrecked twice and the lag for me was terrible and I lagged out. My connection is fast, I don't really understand it.
Until further notice I'm going to be out. I don't want to cause any more lag-related incidents. Past two races were nice when I wasn't having issues

Plow you did LOL. I was already sideways at that point, nothing you or I could do. I was having a good race, started 10th made it to 4th or 5th, and then had a check (rear bump) and mate (plow!). All aero was gone, engine ruined, limped back to pits for my 2nd stop, and just finished the race for some money.
Enjoyed the races either way, there was some good action, and Av8r seemed to always be on my 6 except when it mattered, choosing to move to the 12-o'clock position haha

Awesome battle for me to not screw it up great racing in lobby C for me with Dzyn always just ahead or behind in race 2. My best outing with TORA thus far. I thought I might be able to catch one more but was pushing too hard and made a lot of mistakes.
Props to Simon for straightening me out on my line as it made a huge difference. Buckeye Bullet too as the two of them sent tunes my way to try out.
Cheers lads!

Re: TORA GT Meeting 2 powered by GT Omega - Road Atlanta
Fantastic racing in lobby C!
Despite winning both races myself, (I try to be modest..) kudos to PLOW of course, making great progress, and I take my hat off to Grizz for putting up a great fight
I'm looking forward to the next race... Hopefully the lower gradients should help my car more.

Don't worry mate, nothing either of us could do about this, I even nearly stopped thinking you'd "fly" past!!!

My races could have gone better. Didn't practice at all before qualify. Was happy I made room 1. Started 12th, was 7th at the end of lap 1. Then crashed into the wall at the last corner of lap 1. Had some damage. In lap 2 I think I gave Bullet a little hit, and somehow I got 95% front damage from that little hit, maybe because of lag. Had 95% front damage, 44% sides and 13% in the rear, massive understeer. Eventually finished 14th.
Race 2 went much better, was 11th (I tink) after lap 1. Made up a lot of places during the pitstop, passed Magictap (he had damage) and finished 6th with a 1:23.2xx in the last lap. That was the 3rd fastest laptime of the lobby. So I could have done better if I didn't mess up the first race.
