Ultimate GT - Hosted by Nurbracer

Firstly, allow me to explain things a little. Nurbracer is a community dedicated to the Nurburgring. We've been around for almost 2 years now and we show no sign of stopping. We're here at TORA to spread the Nurb love and to branch out to the rest of the Forza community.

Anyway, to business!

For now, this is going to be somewhat a placeholder, while we finalise times/dates, and get ourselves a purrty banner, etc. There's a lot of other events on here at TORA so we'd like to know what you're doing and when you're free during the week.

So, the Ultimate GT. This is going to be unlike anything you've ever seen before. Unlike other GT races, this involves full contact. This is going to be a hardcore rough series, and tactics can play key here. The cars are fast and expensive, and the racing dirty; a combination not to be mixed. Allow me to explain the rules:

General Rules

• No corner cutting. Going outside the track limits on purpose is not permitted at ANY time.
  
• Drivers must not stop, nor drive against race flow.
  
• Contact is encouraged.

Lobby Rules/Settings

• Qualifying will be held before the race: 10 minutes, collisions off. Time taken is the driver's best CLEAN lap.
  
• At the start of the race, there will be a warm-up lap. Drivers should maintain their grid position, and must not make contact.
  
• There is no mandatory pit stop.
  
• Race time is set to 30 minutes.
  
• Damage is set to "Limited" and collisions to "Always On".

Collisions

• Drivers are permitted to make contact with others.
  
• Shunting, nudging, pushing, etc is fully permitted.
  
• However, maneuvers or contact that severely disrupts position (and car health), ie spinning out, PIT-maneuvering, head-on, full-speed, T-boning, etc. is NOT permitted.
  
• If your car is damaged, you may enter the pits to repair at your will.

Car Rules

• There are three classes; GTP, GTX1 and GTX2. Further details are to follow.
  
• All cars must have a roll-cage, race weight reduction, and race tyres. Cars must also be RWD.
  
• Liveries are very much encouraged; preferably simple with a "cheap, scruffed and tacky" look, and dents, scratches, and other battle-scars are very welcome. Cars could have a newbie-clean or scarred-veteran look, whichever their preference.
  
• Cars must have the required decals (TBA).

Let's get this in business.

Sign-ups are now open; teams of 3 are permitted. The first race will ideally be in April. Date/times are dependent on other events in TORA.

Looks quite similar to the Hyper GT idea I was putting together before house-moving put thing on hold. I'm definitely down for some hypercar racing!

Because it'll make things more interesting... Differentiates it from all the other series. In all fairness, it's quite the experimental idea but it should be a laugh.

That sounds almost like Burnout-Style to me just a little bit 'softer' Stan you can count me IN I just hope that the time will fit for me.

The 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia would be my car of choice

Ideally I want at least 9 entrants - about 3 per class

Unfortunately, this event has been postponed indefinitely, due to lack of interest.

If interest is gained for whatever reason, it'll be resumed.

Meanwhile, keep an eye out for the Hexathlon Endurance Series, which will be coming very soon.
