Sat 21st April - R1 - Road America

Sorry I didn't post in earlier, I wasn't aware I had to.

I did terrible, couldn't get the speed and lost grip often when entering the corners. Just goes to show how much a little effort in tuning can go... Hopefully I'll have more time next week to do so.

Really enjoyed this tonight, had a cracking first 3 corners went from 9th to 4th then got hunted down and passed by Magictap haha. Can't wait for the next round, think i've got a new favourite series

Meh.. Bloody awful in qualifying, decided to go watch the telly.

Some of the best racing I've had. Leigh and Reg, it was a pleasure.

Fantastic first meeting. Even though their was very different contrasts between both lobbies (in terms of how close the racing was), this is a defernate vast improvement over our current GT series. Just look at the gap between first and last in A lobby; just over a second. Where as in our current series, the gap could be between three and four seconds.

I think we have finally cracked it (in terms of levelling out the competition). Obviously, there are a few cars which need tweeking, but so far so good.
Really chuffed with third but could have challenged for second but I was trying too hard and ended up making a couple of small mistakes. Congrats to I Eat Civics for the race victory.

A solid 2nd place! Had very poor pace for the first few laps and I was falling back into the clutches of the Viper and the DBR9 behind, but then I started to get some consistency and for a couple of laps I started to pull Civics in, but then he really kicked in and I started to struggle again.

Good racing guys! It was a great new experience, very different to the racing I normally do, looking forward to next week!

i had some great racing with Simon and Outlaw before i lost it exiting turn 1. yay for cosmetic damage. tried to claw my way back up to mount another run, but on the final lap, i went wide @ the kink on the back straight and she went around on me. not my best day in the similarly painted DBR9 i havent raced since the 2010 ISCC/LMS series, but had fun doing it. Hope to get the Gulf Livery a higher spot @ Infineon.

Hey guys great and fun race tonight. I was definitely staring at the distance meters up in the corner and almost pissed myself when I saw shuffle catch up 100 feet in one lap! Can't wait till next week where we have to maneuver Infineon IRL. That's going to be interesting.

Great racing in the B lobby. Apologies for any contact early on. I qualified poorly, and didn't really recover in the race. Not sure what my issue was. I started 4th and ended in 4th. Once the race got going, it was very clean and above average in quality. Thanks to everyone.

I really pushed everything out of the Evora. My best laptime was 2:08.572 (or something like that, was the last lap and I uncertified it on the 1st corner). I'm certain it can't go much quicker. Somehow I always seem to do well on Road America (not my favourite track) and I'm very quick (no bragging) in GT race cars, and the Evora is not even close to the top times.

Evora is down on acceleration and handling.

its not a race car and should NOT have made it on the list imho.

It's good that we're getting this sort of feedback for the cars now in the test series rather than throwing it into a main series. Hopefully we get an Evora GT2 car in some sort of future pack

yeah it was some good racing, definitely laid back to much to soon. which made it harder for me. but now i know what the car can and cant do. ready for next weekend and see if i can mount up a top 5 finish

I dont think Ive ever been so last in a race in my life! Looking at the qualifying, being missed out on the invite for the Q session wouldnt have made a difference.
The worst part was when someone said to the rest of the field
"man, I got nothing on you guys, Im only getting around 166 on the straight before braking!"

When I looked, I was barely craking 156

I'm in the same boat Mandown, the Aston GT1 is equally shackelled with power and grip restraints.

Im sorry but no there was a aston in A lobby I suggest get a decent set up

Have you added the MSA TORA GT gamertag? we can not find you without this it will stop drivers been missed off,

Was fantastic race, gutted should of been in A lobby but was fun as the first race around a power track and been a test series was good fun, downforce needed next track

I was running RollinInAnSTi's setup

Yea Vette and Aston are good infact all cars are fun to drive, myself and Simon took 2 seconds off out time from pratice until the race

The Aston had the quickest speed in 2 of 8 speed traps
