That was what I suggested at the top of this page, I found it too slow when put into GT2 but hey ho its done now.

Yep, it has been neutered by being put in the GT2 class which begs the question, why have it in at all if it'll never be competitive at any track?

Doesn't the SLS do quicker times than McLaren? Pretty sure its currently the quickest car and it sits in GT3 with no power restrictions. I sense more petronas amg fans than mclaren doing testing lol

Well I wouldn't say it's too fast. In comparison, my PB at the moment in the Vette is a 1:21.609. I would feel confident in calling those two cars close, but as some of the other times being posted as well as talking with others, that seems to be a little more then half a second off the pace for Silverstone with the majority of the other cars.

As I said I am not the fastest nor is Silverstone one of my favorite tracks, but if that McLaren has been "neutered" then the Corvette has had it's balls ripped off as well...

...and the Jaguar also.

Honestly, I really don't think there is much to choose between any of the cars - some drivers prefer different cars and get faster times than others. I get very similar times in every car I try, so for me the cars would seem to be well equalised.

For example, some hate the Jag but I can get clean 21.1's in it, does that make it too fast?

We'll only know the true picture of car performance after 4 or 5 rounds of the championship.

i agree with magic. I do think that the 12C had the hammer drop on it too soon to made into a GT2 car.... We will see soon how the cars have been equalized.

What power/tire width upgrades can the GT3 cars get, because an idea I've just had for the 2nd meeting could be upgrade the GT3s to the McLarens level and reduce the power penalty of the GT2 and GT1 cars, say, to 10% & 25% respectively?

I know nothing can really be done for the first meeting as we are too close to it, but it could be thought about for the next meeting and onwards.
