Oval Race lobby option
How Do You Guys Feel....
Those who have ran in the TASCAR series last year saw i implemented a lobby setting where when @ the Oval Races were set up 'Heat' style, so that the 2nd 50 laps would start straight after the first 50, without jumping back to the lobby in between. those that lagged out though, wound up not being able to get back in for the 2nd half, thusly 'DNF'ing. I want to see what you guys who will run this year thinks of this setting, if it is a good or bad idea to retain or drop this lobby setting.
Option A: Keep "Heat" format
Option B: Non-Heat format, to let those who lag out a chance to get back in the race.

What if someone has to take a whizz?
I think it's a bit unfair to people to have IRL things...

I didn't run TASCAR last season but it seems the "heat format" would work. The second heat won't start by itself will it? In season play when there's a second heat you still had to start the race. You could allow a 5-10 minute break between heats...

in multiplayer, as soon as everyone is finished with the first 'Heat' (or end race timer ends), the 2nd 'Heat' starts up w/o going back to the lobby.

I like the idea of no break inbetween. Real drivers don't have breaks half way through. If there wasn't a lap limit we'd be doing the full distance anyway.

Re: How Do You Guys Feel....
I voted for non-heat. Real drivers may not have breaks, but it's always good to get away from the screen for a few moments after such long periods of playing. And if someone does lag out, we can get them back in.
The break doesn't have to be as long as a minute or so, unless someone has to go and do something for five minutes.
Think of it as a competition caution

Re: How Do You Guys Feel....
It may be just me, but I like to think you get one chance in a race. If you lag out, there's a chance you'd have naff connection anyway, so why bring you back in (if you can connect) to potentially lag out again and wreck someone else in the most important 'half' of the race. I don't like the races being split at all. I'd rather have a 50 lap race instead. What is the point of the first 50 laps when everyone effectively 'resets' at half distance anyway?

Competition caution?
The All-Star race at Charlotte has 'intervals' during the race.

I just don't wanna be sat waiting for nothing for 5 minutes. If the lap limit was higher, 100+, then I don't think we'd have these options. I fear a sort of 'no hold barred' first 50 laps. People will realise that they all start fresh anyway

With a timed race, the entire race could be completed in a single session.

Re: How Do You Guys Feel....
I'm not a huge fan of the lap 50 reset myself. People that are lapped in the first 50 should start the second 50 lap in arrears. I'd prefer a timed race with a mileage win. Say you set the time for 4 hours for a 350 mile race, and the lap that the leader hits 350 is the end and at that point everyone finishes the lap they are on.
