MSA TORA Historic GT Cup - 05/07/2012 - 8pm BST

The third official race event of the MSA National Motorsport Week at TORA will be the Historic GT Cup, created by SelectiveRogue.

The rules and regs are as follows.

1 Race Endurance - 1 Hour in Length

Track - Nurburgring Nordschliefe

Recommended cars - (Can bring what you want but no muscle cars)

Regulations - B495 MAX.
Stock wheels. (aesthetic reasons)
No Adjustable Aero. (aesthetic reasons)
Stock tires although Tyre width can be upgraded
No engine swaps.
No drivetrain swaps.
No race gearbox.
No Roll Cage (aesthetic reasons)
*Bumpers can be removed if needed for aesthetic reasons as long as they do not provide adjustable aero.

The following assists may be used:

Sim or Normal Steering
Racing Line
Manual Gears or Manual Gears with Clutch

Limited Damage will be set to on.

All other assists will be banned.

Cars may be painted up in any livery following the TORA guidelines, and a Numberbox (which will be used in all MSA National Motorsport Week races) will be issued before the event.

Please post your interest in this thread and also discuss the event. We may be adding a few more cars to the list with the latest DLC packs that have been released or about to be released.

Is there a reason for the Porsche 550 Spyder not being on the car list?

I'd like to do this if my schedule permits. I see one two-seater that did compete back in the day omitted from the list, the '57 Ford Thunderbird. Not saying it would be my car of choice, just that it is another choice.

One more observation, the Miura, to the best of my knowledge, was never competitively raced...

This is an old list, and as I am not yet at home I cannot go through the newly available cars from the latest DLC. This will be updated over the weekend and before the event. Basically, if a car fits in the rules it will be accepted.

Depending on interest and timings, especially for the guys in the US, we could run this an hour later at 9pm BST if that help.

Did I hear last night that the dates might be changed? Apparently the Trans-Am is on the 4th instead or something... Is that right? Because I can't make the 4th.
