Juuuuuust scraped into the 51's, but unlikely to get another! Car feels odd around here, 'wobbly' is the only way I can describe it

I had the exact same problem in the test series with the Merc, its a proper Marmite car. Ian was consistently 1-2 seconds quicker than me in it and no matter what set-up I used it made no difference.

No handling problem with the Z4, but doing exactly the same times as you at the moment!

For the life of me i cant figure where am losin so much time,,i,m carrying ace corner speed,,not skidding,,with in my opinion some shexualistical lines,,,but my times suck??? i want my mummy!!!snot fair!!!! the big boys are cheattttttin!!!!!

If you want me to have a fiddle with the tune send me the car over and I'll have a go later, I found a few tweaks last night for the Jag which might help with the Z4 too

Only thing I can think of really is maybe carrying too much speed into some of the corners and then can't get back on the power early enough exiting the corner - there's a few places such as Turn 2 (left), Turn 4 (left) and Turn 10 (right) where taking the first part of the sequence slower opens up the second part, so the earlier you get back on the power for the second part the better cos you carry that extra speed onto the straight. The GT2 cars seem more sensitive to this, probably because of the 15% power penalty, it makes it more important to get the corner exit.

Hmm, i feel as if am able to get back on the power well out of all of those corners as my driving style is more "slow in, fast out" but I hear ya. Once am home tonight i will try to brake a little earlier, be more balanced/constant on the power through and get the gas on that little earlier to see if i can gain any ground. Taking the weekend off with plans, dabbled with the thought of qualifying just earn points but after running high 1:55's mostly 1:56's I can see that i'll still end up with a score with dropping. I'm with you on the speed though, gearing really isn't an issue and i'm on the same tune as i had for Hockenheimring.

struggling in the viper. understeer in the middle section. so frustrating

My mistake, looks like the car is un-competitive here as well then. Must of done a brain fart when i set my lobby up to test.

Dunno if i will be racing this week, my left bumper clutch button is mashed, last week was ok but not it wont even work at all...

Switch the clutch to the 'A' button, quite a few people find this preferential anyway

Yeah Managed to stop it oversteering so much....now I've got understeer! Can't get the middle ground!

1:53.6 at mugello in a ford gt
