TORA announces the details for our Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone race, our plans to attend the real Britcar 24 Hours alongside our friends at Rogue Motorsport. A week later TORA will be at the Eurogamer Expo, the UKs largest video game show, alongside our partners at GT Omega Racing. Season 6 of the TCC wraps up, the GTs take to Mugello in the Italian mountains and we visit Sunset Peninsula for the ISCC.

The third race of the TEC is fast approaching and we visit Silverstone Classic for what has now turned into another 24 Hour epic on the 15th and 16th of September. For the Britcar we have three classes of cars to choose from, ranging from our premier TORA GT cars through to the return of Production GT and the Clubman class. With teams of up to four drivers competing throughout the 24 hours the key to the race will to be consistent and smooth.

The rules are similar to the Le Mans 24 Hours, and after the success of the race at La Sarthe we are looking to have as many drivers taking part once again.

With only a month to go the teams are starting to test furiously and prepare their cars. This coming Monday, the 20th of August, the sign ups will officially open and cars will be available. There are only three of each car available for Silverstone, a reduction of the six we had at Le Mans in an attempt to create some more variety in the entry list.

The event will be Livestreamed all weekend long and will feature the same in depth commentary as was seen at Le Mans.

The week after our own virtual 24 Hours of Silverstone, the real Britcar 24 Hours event take place at Silverstone. Last year we started off our friendship with the Forza Motorsport 4 backed race team Rogue Motorsport. This year, TORA has been invited into their garages to run the 'virtual experience' and supported by Microsoft. We will be at the track all weekend long with various events and competitions running throughout, and with a number of GT Omega Racing rigs being set up we hope to put on a good show for the Britcar attendees. TORA will also be present in the campsite and we hope to see you guys there so we can once again set up TORA Town. Tickets are available through 1st Tickets, and event tickets are available through the Britcar website. However, we are looking to give away a couple of weekend tickets soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

We'll also be at the Eurogamer Expo the weekend after that with our partners at GT Omega Racing. Again, we will be doing the same as we are at Britcar but on a bit of a smaller scale. The weekend will be packed with numerous racing games from different companies at the Expo, so we are looking forward to trying them out. If anyone is near London and is available, then come see us at the stand and hang out with us!

The TORA GT from Hockenheim is now available for your viewing pleasure on TORA TV. Rounds 3 and 4 showed off some spectacular racing from our premier series and is seriously worth a watch to make sure you don't miss out on the action from the various other lobbies.

The TORA GT travelled to the Italian track of Mugello for Rounds 5 and 6 of the series. TPR B0x made a triumphant return to the series after missing Hockenheim and took the top spot in the standing. CQR Champion also made a long over due return to TORA and showed has has lost none of his natural speed, but taking second overall on the night. CQR showed they still mean business in the series by taking 5 of the top 9 positions, but with Vodafone British Gamers pushing CQR Skullcandy down into second position in the Team points they show they are not to be forgotten. Rounds 7 and 8 take place this coming Sunday the 19th of August from Road America.

ISCC America Round 2 took place at Sunset Peninsula yesterday and with a bumper grid of 82 drivers completing the event there was a huge amount of racing throughout the field. With a high number of GTE and GTC cars taking part this season the lobbies have been suffering from a low number split in the Prototype classes. The racing however has been very intense and with some close racing and high numbered lobbies then the traffic issues from last season have reared their ugly head again. The key to Multiclass racing such as the ISCC is to keep the racing clean and safe. GTE and GTC cars should always stick to their lines and the Prototype cares should find their way around the slower cars as best they can. It is a skill that takes time to perfect, but one that pays off in such long races.

CQR Senna took a commanding victory in the P1 class over ATR DAN and CMGraphix. In P2 team F4H swept the podium over M&M Racing. LMR Claim won GTE over FXxIgotchya420x and F4H Insanity, where xxkArLo5xx took GTC victory over Bellmond570 and Yansansan, who were all well in amongst the GTE class.

ISCC America Round 3 takes place from Laguna Seca on September 2nd.

Season 6 of the TORA Touring Car Championship came to a close last week and saw CQR wrap up both the Driver and Teams championship in style! CQR MAGiC lead home CQR HABURi and CQR VtecTorquE, where as in the Teams championship CQR-IKEA lead home fellow CQR team CQR Randoms to lock out all of the top positions in the championship.

The TCC will betaking a bit of a hiatus before Season 7 starts up, but to bridge the gap there will be various mini series involving a wide range of cars both new and old. The Porsche Supercup from the MSA National Motorsport Week will make the first return, but the last Clubman meeting before the Silverstone 24 Hours take place this coming Tuesday, the 14th of August. With a slight adjustment to the PIs the racing should be close and intense.

Thanks for reading and see you on the track!
