TORA Britcar 24 - Official Test 1 - 7pm BST - 16/08/12

This Thursday 16/08/12 will see us run one of many official test night for the Britcar.

This is not only a perfect chance to test out some cars if you are yet undecided on what to run, or even what class to run, but it is highly recommended that you attend as many test nights as possible to get used to the traffic that will be present at Silverstone.

The traffic is completely different to Sebring and Le Mans, as where the prototypes were very quick and could pass the GT cars with ease there is not as much of a difference this time around. The top class TORA GT cars have nearly identical speeds to the Production GT cars on the straights, so if you were planning on passing the cars at those points you will be disappointed. The TORA GT car shave much more grip through corners however, so whilst this is where you will need to pass the Production GT cars you will also have to consider that it is the responsibility of the faster car to pass safely. If a TORA GT car starts making lunges and dives to beat Production GT cars into corners then it is going to end in disaster and would ruin many people's races.

The Clubman class is very slow all around, so please be careful when following these cars through corners and coming on straights as they may catch you out.

The Test Session will be an open session format from about 7pm BST onwards up until 10pm BST. The lobby(s) will be 'Drop In, Drop Out) so if you are available and looking to do some testing just let us know either in this thread or on the night by sending me a message. The rooms will be set to X amount of laps, so if you don't get on for one session you will either need to wait for a space to open up or join another lobby if there is one running.
