GTCC Pro-Am

Mini-Series to run from the 19th September for 5 weeks till the 17th October (Wednesday nights) depending on sufficient interest. The race series will be spit up into 2 categories GT500 and TCC.

GT500 cars will be stock builds, however, tuning will be allowed

TCC cars will be FWD, <=550pi, 250-300hp, 2500-3000lbs, all race platform and handling parts (weight reduction optional), race tyres, tyre width of 235 or under (front and rear), full forza aero, no drivetrain swaps.

This mini-series will count the Team Championship above the Individual Drivers Championship. Teams can be made up of up to 4 drivers with at least 1 driver per team participating in GT class and at least 1 driver participating in TCC class. The top driver in each car class will count towards the team points. Teams will be able to drop 1 round from their points total.

Schedule:

19th September: 8pm - Hockenheimring Full Circuit
26th September: 8pm - Road America Full Circuit
3rd October: 8pm - Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit
10th October: 8pm - Twin Ring Motegi Full Circuit
17th October: 8pm - Suzuka Full Circuit

Qualifying - 8pm
Race 1 - 8:45pm
Race 2 - 9:15pm

Well I'm in, just have to get a team together

I'd be in for this, but have one request: why not make the TCC cars all JDM as well? Mazda2 and 3, Sentra, Honda, Bishi, Toyota... or at least Asian, and include Hyundai and Kia as well. This would fit in well with the JGTC cars and add a little extra realism to the concept.

all the TCC cars chosen are hatchbacks built after 2009.
would have liked to have included more asian manufacturers but the cars are either from the 90's (excluding the hondas) or cannot be built to meet the regs.

As I said we have no issue with this running, however we have plans foe Tuesdays form our end to bridge the gap so can you guys please move this to Wednesday?

It was implied that the dates I have set would not conflict with any TORA championships (why i asked before posting). If the dates do conflict with an upcoming TORA champ I will happily move it to wednesdays. However, I will be less inclined to run it due to a forza overload.

As I said, I wanted to see what the championship wa, but we have been looking at doing our own things for the next couple of months on a Tuesday. We are starting the Porsche Supercup on Tuesday for 5 weeks then another 2 series after that.

I'm interested in this. The GT500 cars are fantastc and some of the TCC cars are very interesting.

I like the idea (mixing two random car classes). I might make the second date, and will likely make the 3rd and 4th, if anyone at AAR is willing to join me.

hmm.. my car club is thinking about hosting something similar on the first Sunday of September. We'd be doing the GT500 series only with a different set of rules.

Would probably do this on a. Wednesday evening, most likely a GT 500 car.

Im interested in this in a TCC-Spec car,

however due to my random work schedule I can't gaurentee i'll be able to attend every round. But i'd try damn hard!
