Forza RallyX Empty Forza RallyX

Post by LMR Zakspeed Sat 1 Sep 2012 - 23:07

Forza RallyX is a new Racing Championship in development to fulfill your Rally division of Forza. The RallyX Championship takes place on short circuits such as Rally di Positano, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta, Silverstone, Mugello and so on. It is basically circuit racing with Rally Cars.
There will be three classes; The Hot-Hatch group ranges from a PI of 575 to 595, Modified from 690 to 710 and the SuperCup from the Peugeot 207 S2000 and the Hyundai Veloster Rhys Millen.

If anyone would like to help this Series please message Me or BlackHawk S61.

I'd be very interested in competing in this however i dont have much time to commit to helping to run it.

However having run a couple of championships here at TORA I'm more than happy to offer any advice if you have any questions come up, just PM me and i'll get back to you as soon as I can!

Also I'd like to suggest using the reduced grip settings for some Drift/gravel style slippery action which would make this both fun and unique for TORA.

Just my two cents... Smile

We tried the handling handicap on Forza 3 in the JWRC and it wasn't that good to be honest

From my experiments on Forza 3 I found that it works much better if its staggered with more of a reduction on the rear than the front.

But i'll have a play with Forza 4...

this sounds sooooo cool, right up my street, as a challenge i have set myself i run a 4Wd in most public lobbies, is the tournament open to any car as long as it adheres to the regs? have some awesome 'weird' cars I'd love to try.
eg Peugeot, Nissan, even vw.

I'd say keep thing front engine 4wd would be fun.

I've been having a play with the grip levels on Forza 4 and think ive found a decent setup. If anyone wants to have a race on them just let me know Very Happy

Forza RallyX Empty Re: Forza RallyX

Post by PLOW tubbi Sat 8 Sep 2012 - 15:14

Well the testing has been done (a 2hr stint in a lobby) and it seems to work well with the grip levels turned down a bit, massive difference with the cars on each track and the drifts seem to be endless, very spectacular but will require alot of practice to get to grips with (Pardon the pun) as it seems to be an all too familiar game with a completely different way of driving the track with the grip lowered.
Will be putting some replays on my storefront of me n slider doing some tracks, slider commented on my skill level being more equal to his with these settings.

Watch the replays to find out what he means.

I do hope this series gets the go ahead as AWD took a beating in this game, but i truely think that AWD is easier to get to grips with (That pun again) and allows easy recovery when bumped, nudged or just rammed off.

Makes for a wicked race.

Quick note: I currently run an RS1800 in S class to much success with AWD running low 1:53's round silverstone, not quite on par with the leaderboard cars but I'm working on it.

My aim is to get a 4x4 in the top 100

I'm available for Monday night.

I would like to suggest an adjustable Aero ban for the Modified class to keep it more true to life and more tricky driving wise. I personally feel it will make the racing both closer and more fun.

I'll try and get a few more cars up to spec too...
