Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
The most critical corners on the entire track are the kink and the slow righty before the long back straight.
The kink you have to stick left (almost if not on the kurb) and then yank the wheel right, get two wheels over the kurb and then thread the needle till the next true lefty after the esses. Do it right, you don't need to brake much for the initial turn and should be 100% throttle thru the rest of the essses.
The tight righty you have to back down quite a bit and then get the car lined up to where you just get a couple of wheels on the inside kurb and have the hammer down the whole way. Do it right and you should hit 160+ with penalty, do it wrong and either you get sideways on the kurb and scrub speed or you go wide and scrub speed on exit.

Nice try, but the most important corner is Turn 5 (Spectator Hill). Master this corner and you should be in the 21's.

how much downforce you running?
Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
None on both the front and rear. Car has so much mechanical grip that it dosen't need it for this track.

Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
Did a 1:21.7xx just now in the Ford, could get a little more but i feel my reactions are letting me down a bit with these sort of cars around here.
Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
Good time Haburi, 21's are fast!
My best so far is 1.21.055 clean with 15% power penalty
Try taking the rear aero off, don't need it around here!

Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
I have! No rear aero, only 145lbs of front aero.
Still using the tune you gave us for Nurb with that being the only change.
Best we can get is a high 1.23.

Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
145 sounds quite low on the front, 345 maybe? I think we're running 325 on the front aero. Rest of the tune is largely the same as the Nurburgring tune, can't do much more with this car! Just gotta be smooth through turns 2 and 3 and carry the speed down through the esses, trying to avoid the kerbs in turn 5 (left hander) as it unsettles the car a lot.

Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
Nice one Magic cheers mate. Will go with 325 and see if it improves the times.
Just goes to show that in these cars although a great tune helps, driver skill is much more significant.

Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
No shi.... anyway, I'm running mid 1:23's but will be down to a 1:23 flat by race day... Which isnt gonna threaten anyone presumably.WCM Outlaw wrote:With the CQR guys in the 21 flats, I wonder what TPRbox will run...
Re: Road Atlanta Laptimes
Just had a quick run around with the tune from Suzuka and managed a 1:22:961 so could probably knock off a lot of time with tuning adjustments

TPR who?
oh yea, the guy that runs with traction control.
I think it will be interesting round here, i dont think there will be much difference in lap times between CQR Magic,CQR Daniel and TPR BOX

Wouldn't it be great if A-Lobby had traction control forced off.
If you're good enough to make the top lobby, you're good enough to run without 'assistance'
