Horizon Spec Rally Championship: Sunday November 18th @ 10pm GMT

Mostly Because I have not seen much “series” type talk here on the Forza Horizon side of things, I am proposing to set up a little “Spec Rally Championship” for this upcoming weekend(s) (or possibly next week(s)) to kick things off.

I am still working on the details, but, would anybody else be interested in this?

Start Time: 10pm GMT (5pm EST) on November 18th


Stages: (will be announced on November 18th at 5pm GMT)
- 1 - Circuit Race: Clear Springs Dirt Cross - 1 Lap
- 2 - Point-to-Point: Reservoir Trail
- 3 - Circuit Race: Bunker Dirt Cross - 1 Lap
- 4 - Circuit Race: Redfoof Dirt Cross - 2 Laps
- 5 - Street Race: Red Rock to Dam

1st - UK II Blackbird: Total time = 16:19.099

TORA is looking to create a Rally Championship or Rally Cross Championship soon. I just haven't had enough time at home with the game to see what would suit.

I was thinking of making a basic one soon anyway, using the Subaru STi and Mitsubishi Evo X as the two cars and seeing how we got on.

I'm down Bruno, what cars or pi you thinking?

I was thinking there was something in the works and figured to get something going to see what does and does not work. It will be a basic "rally" as well with at most 5 stages. I am also thinking of not releasing what each stage will be untill at most 24 hours before the event starts.

I was looking at the cars the Richy suggested (the newer Subie & Mitsubishi), but, because I do not really want to do any car balancing, I am wanting to make it a single spec event. So far I am leaning towards using a stock 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B or fully upgraded 1965 Mini CooperS. I am still open to suggestions though.

as fun as two make series, id'd like to see a variety. and since horizon doesn't allow tuning.. i would like to think either a set PI or Max HP and weight would keep a variety of cars competitive

I'd also love to see two classes of the Subaru's and the Mitsubishi's. If you're confused what I mean is have:
The Evo X and the 2012 WRX STI
The Evo VI and the 22B STI for a classic class.

Just a thought.

I would be totally down for this. I think tho, we will have to wait for the Rally expansion pack, no?

I REALLY want them to put Skoda's (real ones ) in the game for pete's sake. I've been asking them for years.

ANYWHO, I short miniseries would deff be cool. spec is ii for now. wait for TORA to get their stuf figured out for the full fledged series.

So...

I am going to host this on Saturday, November 10th at 8pm GMT.

The car will be a stock 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B (unless WCM Outlaw can come up with a variety of balanced cars within the next few days).

The entire event will consist of 5 stages and should not take any longer than 1 hour. The stages will not be revealed untill 5 hours before the start of this event. The winner will be the person with the best cumulative time across all 5 stages.

How about Peugeot 205/Lancia S4/Audi Quattro? "Big 3 of Group B."

I am goinf to push the start time back 1 hour to 9pm GMT so that I can possibly participate in the Radical Series.

Oh I got a rally experance that day at Silverstone so this should be a must just dont know what the plans our for the evening yet so just a maybe

i'm a maybe too. I expect myself to be playing A LOT oh Halo this weekend, so I'm not sure if I will have time for Forza(s)

I would be able to do this, stock 22B sounds great! We'll be reliving the 90's wrc. Can we make our own liveries and just put in our tora number on the sides of the car?

You can do whatever you want in regards to painting the car.

I only ask that IF you do put a number on the car, use your TORA number.

Well you will not have to worry about trying to make it at 9 Nick. It turns out that I now have family plans so I going to have to postpone this.

thats ii. We don't have to rush any of this anyways. I think once the rally expansion pack gets released I bet it will be a new game mode and everything in that mode will be formulated to make things much easier.

I am going to try and run this now after the TORA GT race this weekend.
