Tonight we saw the ISCC Round 7- Indianapolis Motor Speedway Grand Prix.

That also means that we will be adding 4 more names or add on race wins.

Well I have put all that above there but its all stuff you know, whats the point giving you an update when you know it all ready, so let me share with you something that you dont know yet.

While TORA was at Indianapolis this weekend we got a couple of the TROC cars down and gave them both a couple of laps round the track.

First off after the last event we asked the Winner ATR Dan to give us a car that he would like to be used in this years ROC, he was happy to supply and had it ready and waiting before we even asked him.

When I got the car I thought "oh no maybe not a good idea" we had a Ford Fiesta



One thing he forgot to say was he converted it to AWD and was now running at 300bhp. Such a fun car to drive and push right to the limit.

Second car, its all in the name "Race of Champions" why not in a championship winning car.

This car got its driver the title and 6 race wins in the series it competed in.

We also all love the car from Top Gear also even if it has a few more upgrades then it does on there.

Here is the TCC winning Kia Cee'D, in the Champions paint and also his nice tune for the car. Just under 300bhp and FWD it should really make for some close racing in this years event.

is this not just a competition of quick drivers, don't see how race wins matches championship wins?

There are some drivers who can win races but not championships (PLOW tubbi), other drivers who can win championships but not races(Bli33ard).

How is the real ROC done? its to find the best driver overall.

Also for the past two years I have been able to race in this due to winning a race and I deffo not quick

Real ROC should be past/present champions, but lots of non-champions have taken part too... e.g. David Coulthard, Vitaly Petrov have never won any championships but have done the ROC

Well I would like to get past champions here but they have all left so cant get them all, and duncan we get no £££'s lol. Which other way would be good to set this up then? open invite to all and have a night of 200 drivers racing off agaisnt each other? I wont host that event as I like sleeping lol

i don't mind how it's run, it's your event

i'd suggest champions/event winners/drivers with 5+ victories

1 victory can be a fluke, as was my championship win

With your suggestion I re read what you wrote.

so to explain it clearly, the list of champions is going to be about 12 people, if only 6 of them say yes they will race then it will be a very boring night. I am going on the same format from the last two year where you have champions and race winners but this year I have added the endrance winners. It is set into 3 ranks so champions, endrance, winners.

This is set as I will set a limit of the amount of drivers who will be racing that night. If I say 16 drivers then it will be dault in groups with the champions being over endrance and race winners.

If all champions sign up (12) and 6 endrance winners sign up (now 18) then 12 winners sign up (now 30) I would say yes to champions and yes to 4 endrance winners (saying yes to who won more) I would then turn away the other 2 endrance drivers and all the race winners.

I can see where you are coming from but the past two years I have never filled the grid but with this year the numbers of people who are albe to take part is massive I am sure I will have to turn people away and it will start with the ones who have only won 1 race then the ones who won 2 races etc.

The format has worked very well for the last 2 ROCs, lets take last year for example, we were all shocked by the pace Ben showed to come runner up, when lets face it we thought other drivers were quicker. Gives others the chance to show what they've got, but we cant just let anyone in, so thats why we try and get the very best and work down from there to race winners.
