Once again had a session ruined by people deciding to chat about their performance.

With 5 mins to go most of the SP3 guys had time to complete one last lap but I had my lap ruined by numerous guys, including our host, chatting about how they'd got on - it might not bother some people but some of us need to concentrate!

Jono, that is why I cut my microphone off in qualifying once it gets started. Speaking of though it would be nice if we could make sure that doesn't happen to us in the race as well since everyone is going to finish at completely different times.

I just want to have a rule clarified for me please.

I pretty much wasted every lap of my qualifying making mistakes and constantly giving myself uncertified laps, except for my last lap. With about a minute and a half to go I asked if I'm allowed to finish the lap I'm on, someone said I have to stop where I am on the track at exactly 45 minutes. To make sure that was actually the rules I asked the lobby host who said the same thing.

Since I've left the lobby I've went and searched the rules and regulations thread and the qualifying procedure thread and I've so far only seen I had 45 minutes to qualifying, but I haven't seen anywhere that says I have to stop where I am on the track.

So, I'm left wondering was I actually capable of finishing that lap I was on? Because if I was, and I'd kept it clean I'd have shaven off 10 seconds at the very least.

Formula 1 drivers don't suddenly stop on the track when the timers reach 00:00 (in this case, when the timer reaches 45:00), so how come I couldn't have finished my lap? :/

I heard complete your lap if you crossed the line before 45mins was up. Heard it like 3-4 times.

We were told the complete opposite - if that was the case I had time for another lap.....

I didn't hear that, I could be wrong then. I left to party chat as soon as I crossed the line. If thats the case then oh well. We stick with Chrisupra's time and we race tomorrow.

i was trying to find out if BG Smithy had lagged or quit the lobby , sorry if it affected your time Embarassed
