Citreon cup Empty Citreon cup

Post by theboomeranga Sat 24 Nov 2012 - 5:00

over on RGL, they have the mighty mazdas, and they're the greatest fun.
so i am here to present the Citreon cup.

Car: 2011 Citreon DS4.

build and tuning:
Stock build- PI D319
tuning- tyre pressure

the reason it is stock and only tyre pressure tuning is because it gives a break from racing modified cars and it gives very close racing.

race: there will be 6 meetings on the calendar 5 consisiting of 2 races and one having only 1 longer race.
the races will go for 8-15 minutes decided by a number of laps with the longer race going for 35 minutes. each race will consist of one manditory pit stop that must be completed after the end of lap 2 and before the final lap.

Tracks:
Meeting 1: Ladera Test Track Short Reverse
Meeting 2: Iberian Circuit Short Reverse
Meeting 3: Tsukuba Short
Meeting 4: Camino Short
Meeting 5: Sedona Club Reverse
Meeting 6: Maple Valley Short

Laps:
M1: 14 laps
M2: 17 laps
M3: 9 laps
M4: 13 laps
M5: 25 laps
M6: 19 laps

Assists: the only baned assists for this championship are ABS, ESC, TCS, and no assisted steering.

Grid: The grid will be rolling start. the lobby will be set to random grid start so where you start is where you start during the rolling start. the rolling start will be single file at 60 mph until the last corner where you will slow to 40 mph and form a 2x2 formation. the lead car will decide which side he would prefer to start on and the rest of the feild will follow. once the last car is in formation, he will let the lead car know and anywhere between the last corner and the start line the lead car calls '3... 2... 1.. GO!!' and then you go. there is NO overtaking the car infronr of you (except on your row, ie 4th can over take 3rd but not second) until you pass the start line.

Safety car: there is no safety car in this series. there are safety car periods in which the lead car will become the safety car. a safety car period can only happen if 2 or more cars are involved in an incident that heavily damages their cars and could cause a problem for other cars. in the case that 2 cars do collide, one of those 2 cars must announce safety car and the safety car period begins. the safety car period lasts no more than 3 laps due to the short nature of each race. If only 1 car goes of track and is damaged or spins out, they must let the lobby know their position on the track and cars entering that area must take caution for the crashed car, normall racing resumes once they have passed the incident (yellow flag rule). the diver involved must then let the lobby know once they have gotten going again (green flag rule) and if they have damage that may cause a problem to other drivers and will be pitting (black/orange flag rule).

During a race meeting, each time the track limits are not adhered to, a warning will be given. Each driver are allowed five warnings for exceeding the track limits, at any part of the circuit. If a sixth and subsequent occurrences happen within a race meeting, then that driver will lose a position for each time the track limits are exceeded.
The track limits must be adhered to in the event of gaining an advantage whilst having an on-track battle. If the limits were exceeded to avoid a collision no warning will be given, however if a driver overtakes a driver by exceeding track limits, the driver must give that position back before they may continue their race. If the driver which was overtaken backs off heavily either through incident or "mechanical" failure, then the position will not need to be given back.
The inside of a corners limits are denoted by the the edge of the tarmac of the course (and painted track lines in a majority of cases)
The outside of a corner, both entrance and exit, are denoted by the edge of the “rumble strips”.
Where no “rumble strips or painted lines exist, the track limits are the main tarmac areas.

Points:
for each race there will be a set amount of points giver, for the longer race double points will be given.

Contact: Touring Car racing, as defined by TORA, is a non contact sport. It is understandable that on occasion some contact may occur that is not expected by either party, for example due to lag. Competitors with 'lag' issues will not be penalized, but may be asked to improve their connection, if the issue is persistently hindering other's experiences please see connection section.

TORA expects competitors who partake in its championships and meetings to behave in an appropriate and respectable manner. Insulting comments or behaviour towards fellow competitors and race stewards is unacceptable and will be dealt with severely.

Competitors who are being followed on a straight part of a track by another car may move their position on the track ONCE to defend, any further sufficient movement outside of cornering will be deemed as weaving and your actions may be reported to the race director or head steward after the race.

just trying to gauge interest because this is a lot of fun the more people we have
