TORA MSA GT Finale - Meeting 12 - Indianapolis (16th Dec)

Had a brilliant race in B lobby. I thought for sure the Viper would be hotlapping at the back the whole race due to the speed difference but NOPE! Had a solid battle for 10th in race 1 before succombing to said speed difference on the last lap and finishing 13th. THEN I managed to finish 5th in race 2!

I noticed I was 6-8 tenths of a second slower per lap when behind traffic because it was impossible to pass on the straights but I could get right up to the bumpers of other cars during the corners. However, I couldn't go flat out in those sections because you can't pass mid corner unless they screwed up and I wouldn't be close enough at the end of the longer straights to make a pass under braking. I found if after the last corner if the guy behind me was <130ft from my back bumper then they would be passing me just before the braking zone for T1. Mind you I had 0 downforce on that tune. I wish I could have just 2mph more speed in this car, but I make due in the corners.

Does anybody have the replay from Lobby B, race 1? My replay file got corrupted trying to send it to xOverdrive99x, and I have the 2nd round intact. I WANT TO SEE THAT FINSIH FOR 10TH AGAIN! 0.030s between Smithy and xOverdrive99x!

First race A lobby in the GT class. Several times very close to it ( qualifying 13th lobby set at 12.....) but now qualifying 14th and the lobby was 14.( thank you!).
Superpole I was 11th and after 3 corners my race was ruined by takumi who made a mistake and smashed the site of my car, 17% damage and too much loss of speed so finishing last.
Second race on pole there was some brilliant teamwork from tsaFooT so I had a nice gap to most of the other contestants. Only Nismo and Shifty could get me after some laps so I finished 3rd!
Very happy with it.

I had to pull out, it was 5am in AUS and I was about to fall asleep (which I did) lol

For me both races were breathtaking.

In Race 1 I started by blowing past Amarth at the start, then we had a battle for a couple of laps until I started pulling away bit by bit, but at bout midway through the race I had a poor lap, losing me a second and putting me back into Amarths clutches, had to do my best to keep him behind me for the rest of the race, especially the last 2 laps.

And only 1 word can describe Race 2, Intense, any time I had a run on Beanz on the pit straight he would just out brake me into turn 1 everytime time, only time I would've had a chnce to properly outrun him was put to race by being the last lap and thus end of the race.

Does anyone have replays of D lobby? First race was pretty clean after the first few corners with some minor incidents later on. Second race was near carnage into turn one, I started in 6th and was pushed back to 13th after turn one, ending with a battle for 9th with MrRaZzT in his Jaguar.

I couldn't quite keep up with him in the straights. I came close to passing him in T2-T6, losing him slightly after T7 and entering T8-T10 I would have another chance at passing before the Jag started to walk away from my Panoz.

Yeah I'll put them both on my SF Markius.

You did not directly cause the damage. But your tap made Adder's car out of balance, so he slided to the left. But on left there was FMS Nismo, who then turned into Adder's car and caused the damage. That's all within a split second. Normal racing accident.

Race one went ok, After starting 2nd then getting blasted away by 2 jags at the start i thought i was in for a struggle. I managed to slip by Magic to regain 3rd in turn 3 but was left looking at the other jag for the rest of the race. Couldn't catch it in the slipstream and when i did get close the jags acceleration was just to strong. Still enjoyed it and Haburi drove a great race

Race 2 was a mixed bag really, a little frustrating but still enjoyed it. The Mclarens wasn't very good in a pack and was extremely hard trying to come through the field. I ended up have a race long battle with CQR Neon, i just couldn't find a way past his corvette. Sorry again for the bump Neon, at least it was close to the end.

Looking forward to next series anyway.

The same happened to me and my club pres in lobby B race 2, first corner FranchittiFan broke hard to avoid someone, Hainesy tapped him then glanced off into me, then Hainesy got hit from behind back into me and the rest is history. I had 24% on both sides and 18% front and rear, god only knows what damage Hainesy had.

Bad qually, bad first race and bad second race. Oh well...had a great time in this series. Congrats to B0x and CQR. See you next season.

Still not sure what happened there, someone up front virtually stopped and then I was the meat in the sandwich.

You must have been behind me for around 9 laps anyway yeah you gave me the position back but unfortunately the damage i sustained was too much and lost out on rear end grip brakes suspension and top speed so couldn't challenge you and jono still so i dropped back........... Allot

I am still in the zone after my 3rd place anyway.

3rd in Race 1 was a massive result. Qualified 3rd on the grid, ended up 2nd, then CQR Rusty's rocket engine catapulted past me and that was it.

Race 2 I capitalised on some craziness at turn 1 and had a crazy battle with Boycotz, FranchittiFan, Blackbird, Wumba, and a few others.
