Painter Needed

Hi guys, i know im new here and dont want to take advanantage (<--SP?)

But would anyone be willing to help edit/redo a team paint for me, it will need to be able to go on the teams Z4 gt3 car and also the GT4 car ( undecided so far ).

This is what i have so far and is great for lobbies and looks good but doesnt feel race car enough.

You've got a good eye in painting. I usually make my own designs but if I wanted a really good race livery, I'd ask silentalarm42. He can paint anything from Touring Cars to GT3 cars & stock cars.

All of the staff are pretty good painters, Matt, Chris (CQR Aero).

Thanks, the first was done for me which ive edited heavily and the Z4 was all my idea and most proud off, its the best of my paint skills, struggle with inspirtaion and how to start and which logos go where with who blah blah lol. i can run the first style easy enough just would be nicer if it was more R4C3 C4R

What I normally do is search the storefront for designs of that car, find one I like, take some reference pictures, & edit it however much to match my desires. Not the best method & people will think it's copying, but I don't really care about that...

What I do is Google racecar designs and images then see a colour scheme and design I like then start from there it just gives you a little bit of a head start mate

It is a good way to to it. Take a pre-existing real racer and update to make it your own.
Our 2012 GT entry was based on the RaceArt BMW team in Blancpain. It helped that it was also the right team colours for us!!

I can also suggest looking at Andy Blackmore's site for ideas. His spotters guides cover alot of series and he has designed ALOT of well known racers.

had a look through google and andy's site and got loads of ideas but my skill level is not high enough

The other thing I can suggest (and what I do alot) is to use the lines of the car to deisng a paint.
Designers put creases on cars for a reason, and anything you can do with colour etc to accentuate those lines will make the car look gorgeous and also make the design flow really well.

You know, you're pretty close already. Not all of my cars have stunning Corporate themes through them.

Here are a few that are really "Add decals and go":

Yeah, for FM3
