Where to start?
Hello TORA community!
I saw the TORA 2013 video in the News section of the forzamotorsport.net forums a while ago and I think I saw there would be some races for beginners, am I right?
So I decided to join these forums, but to race I just wouldn't know where to start in this maze.
I read something about a speed test, I saw I'd need a team to join races, etc.
If there are any 'tryout' races, could someone explain how I could get in? And what's the deal with the speed test?
(I have zero experience with online racing)
Thanks very much in advance

Re: Where to start?
Welcome to TORA Anemonemon
First thing to do is to choose a race number, you can find a vacant number and apply for it HERE.
You don't need to join a team to race in any series, you can run as a privateer and I'd recommend starting out in the community run series which can be found HERE.
Theres also a championship about to start, TORA Spec Miatas which is being run by a community member and is well worth a look. Make sure you read the rules for what assists you are allowed to use, ABS seems to be banned everywhere though.
Any more questions theres always someone ready to step in and help.

Welcome to TORA!
What you read about a "speed test" is to see how fast your internets work. You can "speed test" your internets by going here: http://www.speedtest.net/
This, along with checking your NAT settings, is to check how well you can connect to other racers. As long as you are not going backwards* around the track it does not matter how well you perform on the track. There are many different levels of drivers here and you should be able to find something of a rival to race against.
*: Except when you are supposed to go backwards (see TROC)

Welcome to TORA
As host of the Spec Miatas that Hainsey mentioned, I feel that there may be one wee issue, as the Miatas race at Midnight on Friday Nights GMT, which I believe may be at 1AM Saturday in your time zone.
