I would never choose 2nd gear thru the esses, no matter what the gearing. Gear it so you go thru it in 3rd.
Re: Suzuka Lap Times
We are running 4th until the last one where we shift into 3rd to power out and back into 4th for the uphill left...
2:03.8s... Still running the Catalunya tune lol if you can get 130r good, avg. speed of 132, it's rediculous how much time starts to drop

That's what I have it as right now in 3rd but it's a low 3rd around 4500-5000 RPM I dunno but it feels ok but it also feels like I could go way faster through them.
you must have a short gearing for to be in 4th?

Re: Suzuka Lap Times
I've been tuning several cars for Suzuka this week:
Aston - 2:02.268
Lambo - 2:02.567
Merc SLS - 2:03.551 (splits for 2:03.3)
All clean, with power penalties where required.

I am doing 2.05.7's with the porsche. I really hate it right now.
From being over a second quicker that last season from 07/11 car. I can only match last years time.....which is annoying.
Need to learn the track again as I haven't raced on there since last season at all. Need to get rid of Oversteer as its losing me loads of time and also crack the 130R with the right line I have been doing it at 135+mph keeping clean but its squeeky bum time though....
A perfect lap i am trying to aim for a 2.04.7ish. I hope...

Re: Suzuka Lap Times
2:03.494 in my Ferrari, probably not likely to get much better than that, if at all.
Not exactly my cup of tea, this combo of track and car type.

Re: Suzuka Lap Times
I'm annoyed that I can't make this one.
Got 2:03.6s clean in the BMW and a 2:03.3 that would have been clean if I hadn't got distracted halfway through the lap.
