Re: MSA TORA NATCC Season 2 - Lap Times
The left right sweeper coming up at the top of the hill on the back section is fast, only about 1 good line through there. This track does have a nice flow though.
Re: MSA TORA NATCC Season 2 - Lap Times
Bruno, we's gun have another battle on our hands.
1:12.823, my best thus far. BUT, was in the middle of tuning, went the wrong direction, tried to recall that setup that got that time, and now i'm not hitting that time. typical me, not saving my tuning changes. 13.0 best since

I've grown to like this track. Not saying I will make A Lobby on it, just that I like it.

Only part about this track I don't like is the sun glare, even after adjusting the brightness settings It still plays with my head, but I've acquired the method of lapping with ghosts on, you'll find your line real fast. If anything you could at least get your time to a 1:15, I was lapping for a good 2 hours before I got my time in the 1:13s

Re: MSA TORA NATCC Season 2 - Lap Times
Mario, I hit the 1:12.888 with my Silverstone tune. I did make a few changes and I did have splits for a better time, but, I was kinda pushing too hard which ended up just slowing me down.
Ghosts are a good way to learn the track but pay attention to which car the car you are chasing as different cars have different strengths. In the lead up to last years NATCC race I started out practicing my Cobalt (great top end but a pig in the corners) against a SEAT ghost (great handling and just a bit slower top end). I quickly figured out that I had to attack the track differently than the SEAT.
If you are using the braking line for this track, you need to ignore it for the most part and use it more as a loose guidline to get a fast time around Sedona. You should be able to take most of the corners faster than what the braking line says.

1:12.7xx There's a good chunk of time left if I can get the tune a bit better. Hard to get the power down in one particular spot.

Re: MSA TORA NATCC Season 2 - Lap Times
I was a little bored last night so I set my MS wheel up. I have not used it in about 10 months and I was never any good with it to begin with. After many dirty laps and restarts (rolled twice and lost count how many times I found myself in the wall after spinning), I finally managed a clean 1:16.927.Duke of Bruno wrote:Sedona Club Reverse

I posted this before I figured out which direction we're going. I can't find the flow of the trck in this direction in the Volvo. Maybe I should break out the old IROC Porsche for a few practice laps as I was good enough in that car here.

like turns 3 and 4... lol and coming out of turn 5? that's the worst section to keep it smooth in my opinion.

Re: MSA TORA NATCC Season 2 - Lap Times
I expect that I won't find my race pace until race time... hoping to make the TCC to speed up that process a bit. Otherwise I will be racing with all my friends in the B Lobby, which in itself is not a bad thing at all.

The way it looks, I'll be right there with you as I usually am Mikey. Is there any way I can have a 12 lap head start???
