Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
Okie dokie Adrian.
As I said, I knew what I was racing in the Classics as soon as I saw it on the list. I know that it is rare for anyone else to do anything with it too, which makes my pick that much more fun to race.

the only issue i have with the trans-am list is that over half onf the cars on that list never actually raced in trans-am

True. And I have always thought it a shame that T10 felt the need to not include the 302-305 small block engines that were actually used in Trans Am, with the boat anchor big blocks as upgrades. Boss 302>Boss 429 for example.

Which ones? Not going to get rid of them, just going to re-classify them.

Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
the cars that were in trans-am
1971 AMC Javelin-AMX
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T
1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator
1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 HEMI
1968 Pontiac Firebird Trans-am
1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455
You need to include the early 70's camaro and the Boss Ford Mustang from that era as well.

Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
If I recall correctly, in the first year of Trans Am (or the year before SCCA named the series Trans Am) the Pontiac Tempest was used with great success, which is the base model for the 65 GTO.
Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
but it never races as that name, by then they were on the firebird

wheels are what bolts up to the hubs, Tires is the rubber. Rims are found on Bicycles.

Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
Any guesses/ ideas on what time this might be taking place? If this is taking place before 11pm, then I'm in, and I'm running straight for the Aston.

Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
Asking for clarification.
No Drivetrain changes: Does it mean all drivetrain changes to include transmission, clutch, driveline and differential changes?
No Wheel upgrades: Is this to mean Tyre Compound and width, and Wheel (Rim) Style and Size?
The rest is understandable.

Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
Whats going on with this thread? i asked a couple of weeks ago and was told it will be sorted closer to the time. Theres still no lobby times and questions are starting to back up without being answered. I probably won't bother with this now due to it being so unorganised.

Tora ran event or not, its still unorganised.
I know that its not run by Tora and was by no means pointing the finger at any of you guys, i was just surprised at the lack of activity considering how many members have shown interest in it and that the race date is only just around the corner.

Re: The Sebring Sportscar Classic - 8th March 10pm* (UK Time)
Date was always going to be the friday before the race, I've put 10pm on the thread starter, but the start time is going to be awkward because this is supposed to be being broadcast, which will inevitably delay things.
There's also the Open Cup races which will also potentially delay proceedings.
