Hosting will be done on the night so we know who is here and how many will be racing, it will be easy for Q round but when the race stage comes is when it gets hard
Re: TCC S7 | Hockenheim National | 5th March 2013 | 8pm GMT/2pm CST
Also could all marshals please make sure they have the race settings saved
http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t9518-tcc-natcc-lobby-settings
Races to be set at 10 laps in the settings as it will be 9 racing laps.
Are there any hosts who don't feel completely happy with how the race starts will be this year?

Wow, that'd be amazing! If you wouldn't mind taking charge, I can still host if required.

Our Qauli/Race lobby went rather well I thought, main problem was people jumping in and out of the Qauli lobby creating delays because we had to move people round

All,
Ok we appreciate your help and are really keen for the community to get involved however.
You all need to be able to see Live Timing
Confirm with drivers results after Q

I had mine up from mid afternoon all the way through to 11PM, apologies if it wasn't all organized as quick as should have been expected, I share the blame.

Suggestion,
After the drivers have posted in and the thread is locked could we not then post up which lobby they will be running their quallifying in.
THEY then have to find their lobby hosted publically and by the correct host with the time limit of starting at 20:00, it is then their responsibility to turn up at the right place and at the right time early enough to raise any issues that may come up.
Too much time is spent inviting guys in one at a time and it always inevitably delays the start, my lobby was not underway until 20:35!.
Also, the parade lap and line up burns a good 7 mins of race time, some guys just do not seem to be interested in taking instruction, then moan about it afterwards.
I even had two collisions on the parade lap causing restarts, someone pass me a gun!

Downside to having the lobbies set to Public is random people may join filling up slots, or too many people try joining at the exact time causing each to lag out again within seconds.
I believe the problem to getting everyone in relies on them, BG Chucky made 2 gamertags clearly named to allow hosts to find people easier, and I had every one of the PNUK guys I came in with add one of the 2 accordingly, but when the lobbies opened up I could only find 1 maybe 2 people from the Live Timing on them, not Chucky's fault or anyone elses but the individuals, its not hard to clear one space so you can receive an invite, then people moan that they never got one, I spent AGES typing out gamertags seperatly because of this, and trying to re-invite the stragglers who had not yet showed at all made things extremely difficult.
The problem with tonight was mainly getting everyone sorted, too many people were jumping in/out making it difficult for us to keep a record of who's where, a couple of the people in my quali lobby were supposed to be elsewhere!
Not moaning as hosting goes, I enjoyed doing it tonight and hope I can be relied on again, I just think the blame lies with the individuals who are not clear on how things run here, the TORA staff do a great job creating detailed threads and helpful videos to make things easier, its just some just can't be bothered to be prepared.
The information has been up for weeks in advance and they could have always asked any one of us or any of the recognised community for advice, I understand some are time stricken as to how much they can pick up before they start, however the majority of people who cause the delays are because they just don't know what they're doing, even when we advise them right up to when they join the lobby.
Apologies for the rant, just wanted to share my views, the ways things are layed out and run are fine, its enforcing those rules and getting everyone able to understand what is required of them that's the problem.

I agree with everything that you have said, the problem is the guys who have red the gumpf and abide by the rules are the ones who sit waiting in the lobby having their time wasted by others who can be bothered to be prepared.
the advantage of the system mentioned above it's that the evening will start on time ABMs the time wasters well be punished by their own stupidity.
sounds like a win win to me.

Well we have a fortnight till the next meeting, so hopefully some aspects can be discussed, I will continue to advise people to add those gamertags to make things easier for everyone, and most of the people who came over with me have taken the time to read into the details, so if they can do that then the least the majority of newcomers can do is learn the basics of what to do and how it works, there's multiple threads easily accessible they can read into quite quickly.

For me its all about timing, I had my lobby open at 7.30 and everyone in by 7.50, We just need to get the lobby hosts used to doing this week in week out, Maybe a PM to all Lobby Hosts to Confirm they WILL be there to HOST a lobby for us.

Just thought i'd show you guys some clips one of the racer's took of his perspective of Tuesday's races, iv advised him to submit a SI but alas he believes because it was his first race here he shouldn't create too much smoke.
The problem is Tuesday was several peoples first insight into TORA, and we know you guys do everything you can to keep standards high and make it as fun as possible for everyone, but some drivers were either oblivious to racing etiquette or were trying too hard to make passes that just ended up with easily avoidable incidents.
No names mentioned but here's the Clips he posted, he did say apart from this he enjoyed the evening but I personally think from my previous experience of TORA racing, I have never seen so much cause for concern.
Not moaning guys so I apologise if that's how it looks, just thought i'd show you what he saw from his screen that night.
