I'll have to do this, as I got a work call for today.
Re: Race marshal meeting!
WOW
Next time guys be a little more serious and stop wasting everyone else's time, right?
"Lighten up Chris, it's only a game"
No, ffs. There was moaning at others, speeding up, crashing into each other, jumping the start (I didn't help on one occasion, but that was on the last lap). I also didn't appreciate slagging people off in front of everyone in the party and making little whiney noises in imitation. Unbelievable.
Jamie, next time can you pass the minutes onto me hahaa

Re: Race marshal meeting!
I just felt like there were too many people arguing on the "correct" procedure on a single subject rather than working on one that works, and building on our organization, communication, and preparation ready for the next event, which I believe for this was the TCC.BG Chucky 82 wrote:Minutes from the meeting

I for one appreciate all the help I can get in doing what I can to make sure each night runs smoothly, and am sure as hell not going anywhere as far as organized racing goes, TORA 100%.

Re: Race marshal meeting!
From what I understand after tonight, some people need to take this more seriously. You have applied to help TORA out, and if you are not going to be helpful or are going to try and rule over the staff members that are just trying to get people up to speed for the job they applied for, then we can simply go and find other people. You wanted to be a part if this, don't make a mess of it and think you know better when quite clearly after tonight and last weeks TCC some people don't. Please do not waste our time with this in the future, and please actually read the rules and regs of the series and have lobby settings saved so that you can carry out the Marshal duties.
Chaddy that isn't a steadfast rule, I'm sure people have the ability to form up on a grid without having someone lead them to it. That was one of many non-grid practice starts we did, and in that video I captured the lead car happened to be the one that went off to pick his grid slot. If people can't be close together forming a grid then maybe we shouldn't even be doing them at all.

Re: Race marshal meeting!
Richy you were'nt there tonight when drivers couldn't get this grid formation right, it was just sillyness. These were lobby hosts! Chucky stated very clearly on the 1st one that its 25ft and not in the grid markings, yet drivers pulled up into the grid markings. We need these guys to all understand the rules to a tee. Having the lead car go and have a little gap on the cars out the last turn, clearly states which side of the grid they have chosen if drivers have not heard it already, and the drivers know who there lining up behind (1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15) & (2,4,6,8,10,12,14)
Countlless times at Sebring drivers couldn't do the lap or line up on the grid right. I was acused of not lining up right but only cause the other bloke had'nt done it right so I had to move!. There was even a crazy suggestion for the 1st 8 drivers to use the grid markings and the rest of the cars to be -25ft back from each other for Nurb.

Meeting started late due to my wife running late and having dinner late.
I explained to them all that they may be called apon to host in the series they currently run in, sign ups close at 7 for the TCC and GT Sprint and 6 for GT Endrance. You will get an invite into a party at about 30 past the hour, if you can log on to live timing from the main website you will see everyone that signed up and hosts names are in green, the lobbys are green name down until the next green name. Send you invites out leaving spaces between invites, you want to have everyone in your lobby by 5 to the hour. I explained about Q and that how it works is explained in the rules nut normally 1 warm up lap 4 racing laps then stop on first corner to collect the times and we need M.SS.XXX and that when you re join the party that to stay quiet until you are asked for your times as when you join and say hi I am back someone could be reading out there times.
When giving your times try and read them out in the order on Live Timing or if in another way say the name wait until the person says yes then say the time clearly. Please bear with us while the grid is sorted and worked out on how many lobbys there will be and who to host the lobby. There maybe times when we have to ask for a new host for a lobby and have to quickly explain to that person what is required etc, if this does happen please could you wait until the brief is done with the person before you start asking questions or confirming who you have in your lobby.
Race details required will be starting places for each person and finish place for each person, and endurance is finish order what time crossed the line and what distance they completed
The TCC gamertags will be finished by the next event and have near on everybody on them, the TCC has two gamertags and the GT has 3 gamertags. You will need to be on all the gamertags for the series you run in and if you are not please let us know and we can add you.
I then asked if everybody had the race settings saved for the series they are in, they all said yes I then asked if everybody is happy with how a standard standing start works, and asked if everybody with how a rolling start works, I then asked if everybody happy with how the standing start with parade lap works , suggestion to test this come out. We first tried at Nurburgring as a non grid slot start due to the lack of grid slots on the forza start. We then tried at motegi as that had grid slots. We then tried at Sebring as this is a non grid slot start. With non grid slot starts cars should be 25 feet apart on the grid, suggestion bought forward then each car is told distance behind the lead car in the read out of the grid. I have asked the staff if the rear grid can be used for Nurburgring as it will be simpler to manage. Please wait for answer in the race sign up thread and the race marshal event thread.
Oh and lots of moaning and what not, and abit of coughing from my side.
That concluded my meeting
Re: Race marshal meeting!
I know that you do like a good cough old friend
On a serious note, i'd be more than happy to attend any meeting needed but cannot guarantee attendance if its held before 21:00 as I run my own company and quite often have to do lots of coughing of my own ( cough cough), tuesday nights is the only night I can get free from 20:00 as I have built tora into my work calendar (if that aint love I dunno wot isnt).
So my apologies for not being there but I do what I can with wot i got.
