No different choice of tyre like in F1, not the stupid Pirelli kind, just a change from More Grip/Less Durable to Less Grip/More Durable.

Why does Mr Greenwally do these things.

Compound choice hasn't been around since FM2, so I saw this coming. But fm5 is sounding more and more like FM4.5 the closer we're getting to November. Mr 'bearded one', for once, listen to the community for what should be in the game, not what you're team writing with/for you wants.
- day to night transition
- weather
- window vinyls
- Working headlights (this one's for you gen3ral ts0)
- MORE TRACKS / TRACK DLC
- more lobby options
- list could go on and on from here

i get why they dont have dynamic weather n day or night, being the first game on the console, but they could just have 4 preset weathers, dry, overcast, light rain, heavy rain that could be put in the lobby, same with day/night; noon, around 6 for dusk, midnight and around 6 for dawn, not that difficult,
was talking to Hurricane earlier in the week saying that for TASCAR it would be great to be able to run the Sunset 250 at night!
but i agree with DarthMario, more traks, more track DLC, window vinyls are not that difficult..
even something like the individual tyre and upgrade brands (for eg Michelin Tyres, K&N Springs (like in previous titles)

No place for hard core racers anymore,why? its just saying its gonna be the same as before as far as pit stops are concerned,from what i,ve seen its gonna be harder to pick up and play especially when you have assists switched off.T10 seem to be more focused on creating a great base by doing lots of work on physics.From 5 to 6 i think the jump will be bigger in terms of gameplay..Very Happy

What Dan said in that interview can also be said for FM4. In all fairness, Forza 5 is going to be just like Forza 4 but with more bells and whistles, so to speak.

They don't want to narrow their audience with hardcore stuff, as they could lose a lot of their audience. Forza is known for being an accessible and fun sim.

Dan's always said Forza is a driving simulator and not a racing one. In an interview for Forza 4 he said how the racing in the game is supposed to be taking a bunch of cars and seeing which is the best... Like Aussie V8s and GT3s etc.

I reckon by Forza 6 they'll be able to reach out more to the hardcore stuff, and add some racing sim features. It's been said before, but Forza 5 is to XB1 as Forza 2 was to the 360. As a release game, it's more of a testing platform, and then over the years they can optimise the game and get more out of the console.

yea, i guess, and i get that, but forza 4 was more forza 3.5 and forza 5 will be forza 4, only just a few more tracks and never cars

Yep i seen that interview over a week ago.I did some digging and was told "its probably fake" which is why i didn't post it anywhere.Look at it this way there is nothing new in there if you know where to look.

AAR GTDon used to run the IFCA (International Forza Club Association) - http://ifca.highforum.net/forum - they used to be one of the main places to race back in Forza 2 days but many key personnel left and formed Virtual Motorsports.

I've been ready for the CARS Jump for ages! F1 Cars, GP2 Cars, NASCAR, Classic F1 with Classic Circuits like Old Spa and Monza, Helmet view, With all the stuff Forza had along with Night and Wet Racing

I think FM5 is looking very much like Forza 4.1 but with 1080p graphics and orange peel on the paint. Dan Greenawalts comment that "I feel that any details that are allegedly missing are far outweighed by our cutting edge graphics and physics" pretty much sums up the focus of the development for me, I doubt we'll see any *racing* improvements beyond 16-player dedicated servers.
