TORA US Superstock Challenge - General Discussion

Just to echo what was mentioned above, I also avoid cars with a power handicap because they're a pain to tune. You can only test them in a private lobby.

Personally, I picked the Miata without testing any of the other cars because A. I don't care where I finish. B. I love Miatas.

I think the way the schedule was written after road atlanta is road america and indy on the 3rd of feb
Tuesday January 27th - Long Beach Full - 45 minutes
Tuesday February 3rd - Road Atlanta - Indianapolis GP - 45 minutes
Tuesday February 17th - Road America - 45 minutes
Tuesday February 24th - Laguna Secs - 45 minutes
Sunday March 1st - The 6 Hours of Sebring

Hi Iceman the tune I used on the BMW at road america is on my storefront it is just a good all round tune

All Assists off. Simulation Steering, Manual shifting w/o clutch.

If I am learning a track (long beach), I will run TCS as I learn the turns, then turn them off during tuning phase. Road Atlanta, I had thousands of laps and had all assists off for that tuning session.

I ran a badass wheel/cockpit setup prior. I sold all of that stuff as I got away from the racing games. Now I am back on controller. It took a little bit to get the hang of the turning/Braking on a controller vs wheel again. That's why I had some early bumping issues, getting used to the braking pressure and such.

My braking pressure is set at 85. I set it there, because I tend to HIT the brake trigger and will lock them up (see Long Beach Indycar race). I tend to light brake into most sweeping turns, then using shifting and letting the engine brake itself, accelerating off the apex.

There is our problem right there Ice man, between not running clutch, and sim steering (I'm second faster everywhere with normal steering..) you're losing tons and tons of time. Hand over fist.

Normal steering is the only driving assist I use other than the braking line. I hate the sim twitch. And you've gotta use the clutch. Swap the handbrake and the clutch, and now you just hit A+B to upshift, A+X to downshift.

Also, where's the sign in thread for Indy?

After reading some of the pros and cons, I am so debating whether or not I want to try clutch tonight.... I don't want to be super slow, because I like this course, but I also don't want to damage my car or another one of I screw up a shift....

Good race guy I got stuck behind yellowchief for a couple of laps and lost a ton of time to camshaft Cap10Morgan I did get to with in 3-5 seconds and then they pulled away for me in the last 4 laps I have to get better starting the race I always lose places the first lap or 2
looking forward to next week

When is the table geting updated ?

Yeah, camshaft and I had an epic battle for pretty much the entire race. Still pissed I gave up the lead with 2 laps to go. GRRRR! It was a very fun race though! So far, it doesn't look like I'm going to be very competetive at Road America though.
