The issue is that the game won't keep track of the leaders so it would be manual calculations but that's inherent in most virtual racing

Elms might not be a bad shout, easy to run and do.

I've thought about this myself.

Here's my opinion, feel free to dismiss, copy or whatever tickles your fancy.

I believe the max cars per lobby is 16 with a limit of 12 people for party chat.

If you go for 16 and you're prepared to live with limited chat the most classes I'd personally go for a max of 3 (6-5-5) ideally a straight split of 2 classes. (GT & TC).
12 cars would have to be 2 classes. Any less than 5 cars in each class could lead to a lonely race.

With the magnificent features PCars has why not keep in simple and stick to 1 lobby for the first race to gauge opinion and accelerate time so you cover the 6/12/24hr in just 2 hours. Maybe increase tyre wear a bit.

Run a short qualifying session then straight into the race.

Random weather as it actually works compared to forza.

Whoevers in front at the end wins.

If you want to run more than one lobby I would run a qualifying session which decides which lobby you will race in then a sprint session to decide starting positions.

That's actually a really good idea. I need to look into that and run a lobby by myself and see if it actually works.

So I'm currently writing down the technical regulations for a proposed event and I'm wondering how was the British GT 3 hour silverstone raced scored? I believe we had three or four stints, not too sure but I need to know how the scoring system worked. If anyone could help, that'd be sweet.

Also, there is a new car pack coming in December 22nd. It will be a Renault pack with a few models including the Megane Trophy V6 racer and the new RS01 so basically one SP2 car and one GT3 car. More cars, more fun!

6 hours of Silverstone, anyone? Three classes; LMP1 (5), LMP2 (5), and GT (6; PRO (teams) & AM (privateers). Minimum of two drivers. Who's up for it? This will be a test race only. No points will be scored. Just a test in the waters and check if a 2016 championship will be possible including recreating the 24 hours of Le Mans.

4 stints, each being 1 hour and 30 minutes. Real time weather, full damage, tires, fuel, everything on.

When are you thinking? I am game just as soon as wheel comes back from fanatec.

12-14 of February if that ok with everyone?

I still have to plan and see how the scoring system will work. Timing and all that. I'm gonna start creating google docs that way I can get a nice entry list and what not. We'll go with 16 cars for the first race. If all goes well, we'll do a championship with 32 cars, so two lobbies total. If anyone wants to pitch in some info on how to organize and what not, please feel free to contact me!

Yep, good question. I'm planning on using the entire week (February the 8th through the 12th) for qualifying, with the race being on Saturday the 13th at 9 A.M. EST U.S. time. I'll confirm this as long as everyone agrees with it. Other suggestions are welcomed.
