if people wanna go looking through my 12 hr stream to see if i Corner Cut then fair enough, if i did i'll apologize right now, but normally in the Vette, u cut a Curb my Vette would lose more ground then gained, so yeah. feel free to check through my 12 hour stream, and then post here i will freely hold my hands up if i did, but streaming to like 20-50 viewers and trying 2 keep and eye on Chat is a hard Task at times lol.

all in All Though, i enjoyed the racing, had some cracking battles and Finished off with a 2nd in the FInal Stint (Should really of been a 3rd a shame for Hamish) but yeah im happy overall Smile

I'll just leave this out here you need to have 2 wheels within the track limits which decide the width of the track. But the track limits include the curbs.
So you can take some corners with 2 wheels over the curb and still be within the track limits. It may look like corner cutting but it isn't. I believe that causes some of the confusion about corner cutting.
Taken from the Rules

Track Limits:

7.5.11 “Track limits” as defined by the MSA refer to the two white lines at either edge of the track. This may also include kerbing or the edge of the tarmac (or other racing surface) dependent on rules specified in a championship’s Rules & Regulations.

And the last corner is just Fubar. I won't comment on what the track limits are there.

Is this the place to lobby for a BoP revision?

The Corvette is actually terrible compared to the Porsche and the Lambo.

I struggled to set a 2:04.6 in the Corvette in daytime conditions.

I easily hit a 2:03.9 in the Lambo using my Long Beach tune.

Corvette needs a little power.

No, it does not. It doesn't have the acceleration like the Porsche or the top speed like the Lambo, but it's good at everything between. Fastest time in testing from it was a 2:02.7... which is more than competitive. It's an easy to drive car, but extracting the last 5% out of it is like pulling teeth. Any additional power would make that car OP.

The Lambo had a rather large advantage at Sebring- It could do 2:01's with the right drivers. I did set to look into the builds but it ruffled a few too many feathers, so I left them alone.

I know that's not the answer you're hoping for, but, I can't make the Vette faster. Otherwise it'd be like Spa 2016 where 70% of the field would be Vette's.

Sebring is simply a speed course where cars like the Porsche and the Lambo with good acceleration and top speed have their advantages. But the Vette and others will therefore have their advantages on other tracks in the calendar, making the field even over the duration of the championship. Just like in the real world. That's why teams are locked to their cars.

So no changes to the builds is completely the right decision. Cheers

F4H Diablo, I'm just wondering how in the flying seventh circle of hell a 2:02 came out of that Vette. Blows my mind. Was alternative physics employed? Magic tune?

We couldn't figure it out, but 3 of our guys went a full second faster in the Lambo and the Porsche with minimal difficulty.

Greatly confuses me.

Yes the corvette can get 2s at sebring and yes the porsche and huracan was quicker there. The thing is, next round at COTA in the sprint series, you will see the pecking order changed once again, I doubt the huracan will be qualifying near the front.

The current Carlist is Built for the whole Season, if a car is a full second off another car at Sebring, come to another circuit youll find your alot quicker with the first car, also it depends on Driver Preference me personally, i could hit 2:02:8's in the Vette and Huracan, but the Huracan would have splits for a 2:02:5 or .6, but i will say i Drove the Vette alot last year so maybe i have some kind of Magic Tune on it Very Happy
