Quick question. Looking at the Media Day timings many drivers drove in both TRC and Group N. Is that allowed for the series or was that just for testing purposes?

There was no-one driving Group N and TRC-spec, it was either TRC and HRC or Group N and HRC. Is that what you are reading in to it?

Possibly. So how come some people were using a different HRC car for each round then? Is that in the rules? I haven't really read through the HRC ones cause I wasn't planning on running in it but I may...

Just through interest how are the nights gonna be run?

Is it one lap that you get including the launch? or is it several laps so you get a flying lap?

Also do times have to be "clean"?

Its set as a stage so point to point racing, 30 seconds roll off delay between cars, with some tracks that will be laps its racing from time you move till the finish.

No it does not have to be clean rally cars cut corners

I'm assuming these changes have been brought about to allow Group N cars to compete with the big boys.

Great. As if the Impreza didn't have enough problems to contend with.

I have a suggestion. I know it may run things over in terms of time, but during last night's practice session a number of participants suggested they would like to run both TRC-spec and Group N.

Garyp3398 and I both have a pair of Group N Ibizas ready to run, and would be prepared to run them as well as our TRC Imprezas and HRC Integrales in order to bump up the entrants.

Wait a minute... I just reread those changes.

So the Pug 207 S2000 is banned? And we're only running a single class?

this is because there's been no uptake for Group N really.
The reasons for the S2000 Pug being removed is to with the rear aero that Ian brought to our attention.

Yeah, we had that issue in the test last night.

The Pug S2000 is significantly quicker, and the whole balance of the championship is off-kilter due to it. Although that Volvo S60 he ran was even quicker...

Yeh but its hardly fair for me to have to build and develop an entirely new car the DAY of the Rally because something was overlooked which tbh should have been obvious in making the lists prior to the rules even being announced!

Theses rule changes will not come into force for 7 days, however it would be very sporting if everyone could take off their front splitters and Slider swapped to the normal version of the car.

Perhaps... but...

1) These problems have only come to light thanks to last night's test session.

2) You're housebound, so there's plenty of time! Razz
