These are the Cup cars from a few years back remember! They got Cup levels of unrestricted power.

Setups SHOULD be allowed, beleive it or not it is difference in cars that make racing good (and DONT play the F1 card, thats a boring phenomenon! Razz)

I agree with Colin on this one. Seat Leon Supercup was one of the best championships TORA has had and thats because the racing was so close due to the stock Tuning.

It would be nice to have one championship where you dont have to spend forever setting up the car to be halfway competitive.

And a jump in and go race car would be so nice.

and remember if we have it in stock setups it helps to neutralise the PLOW element.

I was hopeing the minis would be stock but there not going to be... Come on TORA we need atleast 1 stock tuning championship!!

Yes, but we are forgetting something. This is Oval racing, its a completely different ball game! All that needs to be done is posting up some setups that people can use for the Superspeedways and the Shorter Speedways. If we get someone like Nick, myself or any other guy who is familiar with Oval racing on FM3, to do some base setups for people that make the cars EASIER to drive around a track like Motegi (which is hell to drive with a normal stock tuned car) we can have closer racing. And for Sunset, all that needs to be done is downforce to be lowered. This isn't circuit racing!

Has anyone discussed/mentioned/thought about the possibility of a historic TASCAR series too? The Buick Regal works very nicely once tuned, and there are some great classic replicas just begging to be painted!

technically, the Cup cars (regardless if its Nationwide or Sprint Cup) use restrictor platesd at the super speedways like Daytona and Talladegga. if we were to use the 'stock' forms of the 'Stock Cars' in Fm3 for those type of tracks, and remove the restrictor plate for the others (like Motegi, and maybe the road courses) then the series will be even that much more realistic. the restrictor plate should be the only upgradeable/downgradable option in this series. and its unfortunate that i will end up missing these races in the summer. i still work past the 20:00 gmt time window for this event(s)

I'm just looking forward to having load of big high speed crashes during the races. And for it to be accepted like in real nascar.

eh. not as much as it used to be...

nascar actually gave out a stern warning before talladega that there was to be no bump drafting through the corners, which was silly because "the big one" is what makes it exciting and competitive.

Yeah I know. I have been trying to watch as much nascar as possible this year and havn't seen as much crashing as I remeber there was. But watching nascar does make me realize just how exciting it can be. The amount of passing, drafting and just willing the drivers to try and make slick passes around each other is just great. Hope we can get soem decent nasar races going in forza. Pity we can't have more than 8 though.

some Road Races too please Very Happy

And Richy is right, pushing and shoving should not be complained about, cos if you get punted off, you probably provoked it!

Mabey best to do this without mics? Then instead of moaning at each other like we normaly do, we can settle it with some revenge shots? Very Happy

My ideas....
-Tuning: YES! And I will provide simple base tunes for each track, and im sure others will to help out some other guys.
-Round 1 - Sunset, make it our Daytona 500, give out loadsa prize money for the win.
-try and incorporate some sort of chase? perhaps up to round 5 or 6?
-Make use of Camino Viejo Mini and Benchmark Layout B as short ovals. Camino Viejo is kinda like the Lydden Hill track that the Euro Late Models use. Benchmark reminds me of New Hampshire.
-Road Races - Road America, Sebring, Road Atlanta.

5 Ovals, 3 Road Courses = 8 Rounds Very Happy

Restrictor plate for the Sunset race, and let 'em loose for all other rounds.

Mics OFF might be a good idea cos things can get very heated in Oval racing. I have been involved in so many last lap wrecks while testing. Just a warning..

one problem there nicky. none of the Benchmark layouts have no pit roads. i thought one of the layouts looked like Pocono, but once i got the game to test the different layouts out, i realized the no pits deal.

This looks like a great series. My team might defect from IFCA to TORA for this. From my Stock Car experience, I can say that mics are essential for communication duw to a lack of spotters. Stock tuning is a great idea. Also, don't use the Dodge on the reverse tracks.

They are, but unfortunately unlike real NASCAR you can actualy shout at other drivers Razz At a restrictor plate style track like Sunset, a bunched up last lap will normally result in someone being taken out, so people need to learn that crashing is part of racing rather than blaming everyone else.

Tuning should be stock for Sedona and Sunset Peninusla, but for any road courses, or Motegi, tuning should definetaly be allowed, and the cars should be permitted to be unrestricted for all the non Sunset races. Caution periods need to have a proper set format for them to work, and if possible, a 'lucky dog' style setup could be implemented. Ive got loads more ideas, just cant remember them all!

with no real pit crew in FM3, we wont have to worry about pit road violations and drive thru penalties. Laughing and i agree nicky. the only thing that should be changable from Sunset to Motegi would have to just be the Restrictor plate, and nothing else.

I'm only a casual viewer of NASCAR though I do enjoy it when I watch it, and am looking forward to our championship. So, something about the comments above confused this self-confessed NASCAR-noob! Why would you run restrictors at Sunset where the cars could handle the extra power/speed more easily than say, at a road circuit where it's more likely to throw you off the track?!?
