oh, how the mighty have fallen!
...if i had spare cash lying around, i'd buy stock in toyota asap. once they get over this "hump", their stock would bounce back.

apparently it's the ballast from the HID kit he bought frying the power steering ECU?

Could be the electric power steering motor that the fancy autos like Mercedes, BMW or Lexuses have. Idk, i showed my dad, and thats what he said since he's worked on tons of Lexuses. no idea.
guy said he replaced the ecu, and turned off the auto-on feature on the headlights.
and he said it hasnt done it since.
