why doesnt my ps3 work?

my ps3 wont let me log online or play any of my games for some reason, is anyone else having the same problem and i have spoken to my mates and all the ones who own 60gb models are encountering the same problems. just wanted to see who else its happening to and see if anyone else knows why it its.

its a small bug and will be fixed soon.

tbh. i doubt 'small fix' is the case. its a software issue. which has crippled both offline and online. therefore sony, nor any owner can access internal seeting to 'overwrite it'

sounds like to me they have accidentally written some dodgy code in the encription and have only just found it. im thinking total recall is the only option!

Its caused by a bug in the internal clock.

Expect this to be fixed within the next 24 hours or so.

a guy at work told me about this this morning, and it appears it has only been happening to the BIG PS3's, but the PS3 Slim's are not having the issue of logging in.... i have the Launch 60-Gig'er, and havent turned it on since i got the Ghost In The Shell 1 & 2 movies on BluRay like 3 weeks ago, so i havent noticed.

bollinger boy right here, though in fairness the PS3 is little else other than a glorified blu-Ray player. Still haven't made my mind up about the new final fantasy though, PS3 or xbox...

go PS3!! im getting it for the 'Station. it would feel weird, personally, to get it for the Xbox, though ive only played X, X-2, and XII on the PS2. i've played number 1 when they re-released it on the GameBoy Advance, but got stuck

i might be getting another ps3 but this is a bit of a put off

ive heard that it's all been fixed now from the same guy at work who told me about it yesterday. it was something to do with the internal clock. similar to the whole Y2K scare. the clock rotated to 1999 or something like that.

The problem was it thought 2010 was a leap year.

They didnt fix anything just let it run to the 2nd so your ps3 thinks it is the 1st of the month. So forever a day out of sync.

change your clock manually and its fixed now
