Great car. Though I'm not a fan of the track. Just remember at a short track like this, the Impala's tyres get pretty used not that far into the race and there's no cautions so take it easy at the start

Driver swaps looking to be added Oct/Nov. TORA 24 hours of Daytona anyone?

Can't wait for the driver swaps. A TORA team for the official races would be awesome.

As far as I can tell. In terms of features rather than content, they should be moving on to Day/Night Transitions and Dynamic Track Conditions. I think Monza and the new V8 Supercars are coming out in a few weeks too.

Aston Martin coming to iRacing!!!

Yep^. The Vantage GT3, DBR9 and two other unknown cars will join in 2015. But the big big big BIG news. iRacing.com will be adding a fully laser scanned Nordschliefe, GP, and Behemoth tracks to their roster in 2015!!!!

I seriously want to sign up but need a huge wad of cash... Who knows? Might be the next Tom Kristensen!

I really need a better PC. Want to get back into iRacing again.

I'll be hopefully have my new PC ready by next year

me and Joshua had a go with the driver swap last night on spa and getting in was tricky, when u get in it was easy to do

TORA iRacers

I am considering having another crack of a championship on iRacing.

Thinking of using baseline Cadillac CTS-V cars with a 5 round championship featuring the free tracks.

or we could run another car or even do ovals?

I'm in.

I'm up for whatever, we have plenty of drivers in LMP who would be interested, surely ... Could we do it by the end of February?

Spec Racer Ford series or MX5 is an alternative  but count me in

Which is best for GT3?

Ruf/BMW/Ford or Mclaren?

BMW is traditionally easier to drive (Front Engine, RWD)
RUF is fastest on straights and acceleration
MP4 is quickest at braking and hotlapping but hardest to drive
Ford is the same as the McLaren but a bit easier to drive.

ah well, I chose the RUF and I'm currently doing the RUF gota say its a rewarding car when you get it right!

Yeah, they got the sound of it perfect. I don't really like it though with the street interior and that it really is a road car with GT3 Cup physics. It's been requested that they remodel it to something more pCARs look but contract prohibits any changes.

If you like the RUF, you should definitely try the RUF Cup. It uses the CSpec, brilliant series better than Gt3 is what I hear

Again, we shall try for a series to take off on iracing. If everyone interested can speak to myself or francittifan,we can add you to a league and get this show on the road

Few key facts.
1. you DONT need a powerful PC to run it, my old PC cost me £60 and ran it fine.
2. you DONT have to spend big ££ on a wheel and pedals. Im using a Logitech DFGT which you can grab for around £30 in good condition. Ive had mine for 18 months now and it really does the job.
3. Yes you have to pay a subscription fee, but think of it this way. iRacing is updated every 13 weeks (without fail), 9/10 times with new content. you get about 1% of the server down time or issues you do with XBL and theres always deals on to get 3/6/12 and 24 months dirt cheap. (pretty sure RaceSpot TV have a code that gets you 3 months and a bunch of extra cars/tracks for £12.50!!!
Yes you do have to buy Cars/tracks separate, but i can tell you now, the tracks are worth it alone for how accurate they are. It makes T10 look like they did it with crayons and spyrograph.
You arent charged for any updates, and they're constantly improving they tyre model, crash physics, and all the asthetics.
For example, in most iRacing races, you HAVE to look after your tyres, as they can go off after 6/7 laps if you shred them, unlike forza tyres that last 2314632174 laps.

I made the change to iracing over 12 months ago, and i havent regret it in any way, shape or form. Its made me a much better driver on the track aswell as iRacing really is As real as it gets!

RO Motorsports Group and iRacing.com announce Blancpain GT Sim Racing Series, the creation of two online racing series for virtual sports cars that are based on the Blancpain Sprint Series and Blancpain Endurance Series. The two series will feature iRacing’s digital GT3 cars, including the BMW Z4, Ford GT and McLaren MP4-12C with Aston Martin and another major manufacturer expected in the future in races from thirty minutes to three hours in duration. Given as Audi is an official partner with the series I'm guessing an R8 would be a good guess.
