I used to tape all the races as a kid, and that one was the first time I taped a Grand Prix. I've got the whole thing on DVD now, ITV coverage, ads from 1999, everything!

I think i've got the entire 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 seasons, with a few races from 2004 and 2005 on video tape... somewhere.. I used to tape everything, especially when Channel 5 broadcast highlights of NASCAR, Indycar, A1GP and V8 Supercar late at night.

Got loads of old BTCC, CART, ALMS, and the first series of ''new'' Top Gear too... I really ought to digitalise my collection if I can find it!

Haha! They are worth keeping though! You should definetly back them up on your computer cos it is just great even as a memorabilia! When your with your kids going "The cars back then had huge V8s and KERS and DRS" And your sons going "Dad, that was ages ago, we now have electric cars with hairdriers as a boost!"

Theres nothing wrong with Monza just cause red bull win doesnt mean theres something wrong with the track.

Vettel deserved that win 100% and it was a great weekend of racing. F1 aint all about the leaders.

We ain't complaining about flippin' Red Bull. The only thing we are saying is that it is getting HEAVILY boring... Theres no fights up front. We are saying that that first corner at Monza is pretty tricky. Yes I hate Red Bull with a vengence but saying that our complaints about THE TRACK is about Red Bull is stupid. We know you love Red Bull and support them all the way, thats your choice, we all have opinions. I support McLaren because they have British world champion drivers and are a great team. Not the fastest, but great. How can he DESERVE a win. The only time you can class a win as what someone deserves is when they have a hard race. Vettel wins every flippin' race but he don't deserve all of them.

Red Bull should be walking away with this and fair play it is very hard to win x2 seasons on the trot.

2012 - expect the same, 2013 will force changes with the introduction of turbos.

Dont blame Monza or any circuit here is no 1 to Blame yes it is annoying but isnt this F1 we all have watched for the past 60 years there are realitlvly few seasons which dont result in a strong car.

If we want a change in season testing needs to be bought back not just 1 round as many as they like but they wont because of £, and the series has become to regulated and within these regulations those who create downforce withough taking away speed will win and this case the Red Bull is fantastic.

The first chicane at Monza is absolutely terrible! Stephane Ortelli and Vitantonio Liuzzi will tell you that!

Plus, any time I drive at Monza on Race Pro, that god damn chicane just infuriates me.

Red Bull did pull off a very very very impressive victory though.

To reiterate, we were discussing the track, not because Red Bull won, but because the first chicane is an absolutely terrible piece of track design.

Kimi would never come back with Williams. He said last year he'd only come back for a championship winning car, and Williams are backmarkers now.

i think he did, cause he wracked massa's race more than his own without the drive thru.

What gets me is that I 100% agree with you Nicky but then Perez goes and wrecks Schumi and gets away with it. And Chad, do be serious, if Massa had of braked earlier then Hamilton, he would have wrecked his car.
As for the race, 2 words, Boring, Button. Not saying Button was boring, just saying another boring race but Button had another amazing drive! He should be #1 at McLaren! Hamilton clearly can't cope anymore!

If you look at the incident once more, its not just this 1 time, its lewis driving for the whole season, somthing is lacking is he not happy at maca?

I still think he deserved the punishment, Massa had the right to be angry with him and in the press confrence after I LOL when Massa went "thanks mate" lol

Any way Lewis has got to have hard deep look at his agrisve driving and try to drive more maturely which he wont until he grows up and gets ride of this maca all high amd mighty attitude.

Also Schui got told off for Perez, as a shuci fan this 1 was all schui fault.

Here comes an ill advised Matt rant!

The race was dull. I fell asleep twice.
Lewis has reduced his agressive driving but certainly the close call in qualifying ought to have demanded some kind of penalty for Massa. In the past, that squeaky voiced Brazillian has been the first to complain (and get benefits from) other drivers who in his mind have impeded him during qualifying runs. (Monza 2006 I think rings a bell). Yet when he does it, it's the guy behinds fault.
In the race, Lewis was a bit impetious and could have possibly waited a little longer to make the pass stick but its also the same spot where he and Webber had a collision last year, which was completely Mark's fault in that instance.
In the end, the only race he's ruined is his own. Massa can moan all he wants but he's only doing that because his place in the team is under severe thread from younger, more skilled drivers. Far be it for me to poke fun at the guy for his accident but he has not been the same since. You have have to wonder if it was the best thing for Ferrari to have him back at all.

As for the Schumacher crash, didn't realise he was going for a moon shot! Looks to me like Perez either on purpose or accidentally braked early for the corner and closed the gap down whilst MS was in it. Checking those mirrors in the daylight is bad enough so at night must be damn near impossible. That was no ones blame at all.

As for the comment that JB ought to be #1 at McLaren....well he is isn't he? He's the only one with a shot of the title (never gonna happen!) he's outdoing Lewis in the races and is a MUCH cleverer driver. This has been exhibited in all of his victories at McLaren over the past two years. Probably the best still being Melbourne last year.

Maybe they should replace Massa with Di Resta!! I would support him and Alonso all the way! We don't really talk about Alonso and yet hes the one doing faultless drives. Alright he don't get nowhere but he don't have any incidents.

I think both Schui and Kobaybashi thought they were in a rocket headed for space! Kamui took off in Quali (Maybe practice?) and Schui in the race.

JB has no chance of winning, mathamatically yes. In reality, its gonna be a long boring few races with no chance. Maybe Vettel will DRS his way round a corner and into a wall! We can only hope! But yeah, JB is a MUCH better driver than Hamilton, as much as I love Hamilton, he just can't do it no more. Maybe 2013 he might go to Red Bull or Ferrari, who knows.

Di Resta was driver of the race easyly and should be offered a top contract, hes bet Vettel in the past and looks as if he can do it again. Who would of though a DTM driver would do well after Albers! Im 100% sure hes had more than a Force India deal sent to his door.

Yes Massa is under pressure, sure yeah, but he would of finished way in the top 6 without the hamilton issue so THATS why hes angry and saying things. ANOTHER driver RUINED his race so he had every right to act the way he did, but yeah he will lose his seat, but will Alonso allow that?

If Button did go to Ferrari he ll be close to Alonso, closer than Massa. but he wont unless Mclaren want Di Resta or another young driver.

Hamilton is almost a number 2 driver now. If Macca feel Button is better the car will be built round him and we've seen how contrasting those two are.
