Wow. What a race. Well done everybody. Great attendence, great racing. Congratulations to Johnny and Crisis for overtaking people in B lobby. This is exactly what we were going for with the cross-lobby racing. I (top in lobby B) finished 1 sec behind Richy (bottom in lobby A) - so close!!!!

Yeah great racing lads, dissapointed to be in B lobby as during the race i got into the 2.00's, even though the car was a dog to drive and was struggling to keep switch behind me in the last stages. Looking forward to next race

more great racing Nick. shame i made too many mistakes trying to catch chris. i used the wrong tune during the race, but qualified with the tune i should've used. oh well. i wont make that mistake again

man, so bloody close for so long into the race, it all came down to that final part of the race for the winner to be determined.

I am very happy, on the count of passing Duncan by flooring it into the pit entry and overtaking him in the pits by driving through him!

It was an epic race! I dunno how I done my pit stop so well cos I was out in front by quite a bit so I pitted and redbeard overtook me by a bit and I was just trying so hard to catch up to him and then I heard "pitting" from him and just kept the car cool from there!! Bit dissapointed with James but oh well!! Thanks guys! Great to be back!

If you/James/anyone would like to come for a session where I take you through lines/braking points for the next circuit before you race again (i.e. tonight for tomorrow's NGTC) then I'd be more than happy to do so if it helps.

I noticed that James was just being a little over-enthusiastic into the corners, watching the replay, and a few slow laps building speed each lap might help him enjoy the race more, and gain a little more control of the car.

Apart from having to leave the track to avoid a write off in quali!! Last night was a great race an engine problem (which i caused) ment Nick was always going to take 3rd and it was an effort to stop Mr Biggs taking 4th. Great racing guys.

Sorry about the car it was the only way to have any chance of staying with Plow but its a different setup for the next track. Well done last night.

The one good thing about lag-flying cars - you get to take photos from abnormal angles....



(Don't worry - it was only a momentary spike on the parade lap! The race was lag free, which was lucky considering how close it was!! I watched the replay last night to see what went on in the pack (I pitted early) and you guys were nose-to-tail up to the pit stops, then nose-to-tail again when it all shook out, but in a different order! I've never been involved in a race which was so close, and where pit strategy mattered so much. Awesome race guys).

What James needs is a session where you take him through how not to annoy everyone in his lobby by constantly singing and talking during a race. Oh and how not to crash into people, and if in the unfortunate event of a crash occuring how to apologise afterwards and explain what went wrong.

I understand your frustration, but if the Organisation is to move forwards and welcome new members, we can't character assassinate every rookie that comes along. Many people have never raced in the kind of organised races that we hold. As I stated above, I'm more than happy to help people get up to speed, both with driving, and racing etiquette. Yes it's unfortunate that there were incidents, but I think it would be better to help the guy improve rather than say "you ruined my race, go away, you're a liability" etc.
Re: singing/chatting etc, go into the offenders gamertag page and mute them if it's that bad, or simpler still, turn your headset volume down. I do this all the time when I'm finding that someone is breaking my focus during a race. Due to the diversity of our member base, I think it's unfeasible to try to silence those with "verbal diarrhea" I'm afraid.

I have to say I'm in the middle ground here. I understand 'the Organisation' is looking to expand & recruit new members etc, but I think the reason it has been so successful to date is that it has been joined by people trying to avoid precisely what we saw/heard in that lobby last night. Don't get me wrong - I've certainly heard worse over the years, but this is not what I would expect from TORA. Simultaneously I would assume TORA would expect me not to behave in a manner disruptive to other members.
