Holy hell!!!! That's some crash. And from a standing start too! Great to see the drivers were both ok and the marshals were on the scene right away. Never ever seen a fuel tank rupture that comprehensively either.

11 Years later they still know how to put out a fire in less than 30 seconds.

Just under a month till the Phillip Island L&H 500. A 500km Endurance Race, run by the Endurance race driver pairings that will be present at Bathurst.

So, since the rule change in 2010 which prohibited V8 Supercar Championship Series regulars from pairing up with each other, the Endurance drivers are now guest drivers.

Wow, that's really kind of a who's who of motorsport talent. I wish there were more races that would bring drivers from all over together like that.

that's one hell of an entry list, i love enduro season in the V8's always some incredible racing, out of all the entries i think the 888 team look extremely impressive but the #7 Jack Daniels car with Westbrook will be very very competetive, Westbrook can drive anything quickly!

David Brabham is doing the 1000 with SBR, which is awesome.

he did it last year as well if i remember correctly!

Watching a stream online, and it looks as if SPEED are showing the Aussie V8's with Marcos Ambrose doing some ''presenting''!

With the races in Texas coming soon, i' expect to see much more Aussie V8's on TV for you American viewers.

Some rumors going around that due to Dan's tragic death, the Indycar drivers won't show up to the Gold Coast race.

Power's pulled out and HRT might replace Wheldon but i hope they dont

Kanaan has pulled out for emotional reasons. Power physically cannot race due to his, what sounds like, minor back injury that he sustained in the crash.

The Surfers Paradise event has always been nicknamed ''Indy'' in Australia, due to the close links with Indycar, so the V8 Supercar community will have been hit hard by the news too.

What I hope to happen is that HRT will put their #2 driver from Bathurst into Courtney's car and then, in tribute, paint the car completely black (maybe add a small 77 somewhere).
