Wheel questions and input...
I'm looking at buying a wheel set up and wanted to know what is a good one. Im really looking into the Fanatec wheels, but wonder if they will work when FM4 comes out? (Sorry Im a newb at this). Just wanted some input into a decent set up and what I should get.
Thanks to anyone who has ideas.

Re: Wheel questions and input...
The latest Fanatec wheels are definitely compatible with FM4 but won't be cheap.
Can I ask you some questions first to help the community define their best answers for you:
Do you or will you use or need the wheel for consoles and PC driving / racing games? If so which ones. If not what will it be for, just the xbox 360?
Do you have a budget in mind, or a figure in mind you were looking to spend.
Do you want Force feedback or not(FFB recommended btw)?
Cheers.

Now, be careful here, because not all wheels are compatible with the 360. The only ''high-end'' people that make wheels for the 360 are Fanatec. Currently, the 911 GT2 and the 911 Turbo S are their two Xbox 360 compatible wheels. They are also compatible with the PC and PS3, and are very, very good wheels. However you may have to buy the pedals separately (Clubsport Pedals are very very good). The ultra expensive CSR models are coming soon!
Logitech only ever made one Xbox 360 compatible wheel: The Drive FX. They don't make it anymore, and it doesn't have FFB, or a clutch pedal, but is of very good quality. There may be some floating around on the internet.
Microsofts Wireless FFB wheel is not made anymore. If you have the money for a Fanatec, get the damn Fanatec!
Madcatz - FFB wheel coming soon, on par with Microsoft, but has a sequential shifter.

Re: Wheel questions and input...
Yeah I looked at the 911 GT2 wheel and really liked it and it looks like it has good features. Was thinking of getting the club sport pedals. Just wanted some input from some of the guys here since I know some of you guys use the wheel. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll order a package. (I really like the v2, with the orange and carbon fibre shifters )
Basically, I want to know if its worth the money, although Im pretty sure it is.
And of course Id like to keep the cost down, but Im want to have something of top notch quality.
Oh and want to see if you guys know if it would still be compatible with FM4, in case you guys would have that knowledge.

Re: Wheel questions and input...
A wheel is the way to go. A pad would just defeat the purpose of a racing game for me.
