Codemasters is having a fundraising charity drive, with entails the donation of proceeds from a 3-day sale of GRID for $4.99 on Steam for the PC. The sale lasts from July 19-21, and all profits raised will be contributed to video game industry-supported charities such as GamesAid, as well as offering support to initiatives through Nesta and the Livingstone-Hope review.
“The monies will be directed to worthwhile causes targeted at young people. This will embrace education, sport and the disadvantaged and vulnerable in our society and will clearly demonstrate that video games make a positive difference to the lives of young people,” said Rod Cousens, CEO of Codemasters.
What better way to support a cause than to get a game out of it? For those of us who can’t recall what the award-winning circuit and street racing game GRID is like, the awesome folks at Inside Sim Racing gave it a thorough spin a while back in this video.
If you are considering purchasing, remember GRID is available for $4.99 on Steam only for three days. Get to downloading by July 21 at the Steam store.
