Anywhere I can get a ghost of one of these laps? I can't understand where I'm losing 4-5 seconds a lap.

Re: MSA TORA Spec Cup Season 1 - Media
Round';s Three and Four of the TORA Spec Cup saw the 1998 VW Golf VR6's hitting the Iberian Interational Circuit and the Short Circuit, a very underused track. 30 cars in the pit area this week, so another cracking turn out. Qualifying this week, well its pretty safe to say that i completely ballsed it up, having run fairly consistent mid to late 48's all week and prior to qualifying in a quick 30 warm up session, i simply forgot how to drive come qualifying, which resulted in a time of just 49:167, and although that time was good enough for second spot in the qualifying lobby hosted so well by jgroves1996, it did mean a nervous wait.
Thankfully, an invite from Bli33ard came through and with XPR Mad Dog and ATR Dan in the lobby, i had just scraped into the top lobby again this week, but back in 10th place and around the short track, that was going to mean a hard night, as overtaking opportunities at Iberian International dont come along too often, especially on the Short Circuit.
Race One and a very eventful start out the front in the opening lap, the two YMGR and CQR Jono going three a breast coming into the stadium section, the result was a huge coming together, which saw CQR Jono's Golf destroyed and MystiicVibrosis and angus rules facing the wrong way on the grass.
It was a bonus for a couple of drivers though, as myself and Standaman94 were able to thread the needle and gain four spots due to the incident, and create a gap on those behind. The lead three were away, with BAR Smurfy in fourth. I managed to squeeze past Standaman's Driving School Golf into fifth, a position in which i finished the race at the end of the 24 laps.
Out front, after a slow start and a slight off, XPR Mad Dog just took the win, from the battling ATR Dan and the rather bright Go Daddy Golf of o MeaDo212 o.
Race Two was an absolute cracker, out front XPR Mad Dog went from the off, ATR Dan and o MeaDo212 o continued there battle on and off the track for the final spots on the podium, including a running commentary which wasnt as distracting in race two thanks to the unique way in which the mute button works. CQR Aero got all manly and aggressive at the start, putting me on the grass, which gave Bellmond570 a run on myself as well, this dropped me back to seventh place, but while the front three escaped again, the battle for 4th through 8th was covered by less than a second, the lap times being run, all well in the 48's, and any errors being punished by the chasing pack.
MysticViibrosis made a slight mistake which dropped him off the back of the group around Lap 20, but for CQR Aero, BAR Smurfy, Bellmond570 and myself, nose to tail, sweaty hands galore and a simply fantastic race to be involved in and credit to the drivers, it was all hard but fair, just how you want your Spec Racing, although the Wheelwash Kamei Golf this morning is looking in a very sorry state in the body shop and a respray before next week at the Hockenheimring will be needed.
Well done to XPR Mad Dog on another double, taking a healthly points lead with a perfect 400 points so far, o MeaDo212 o and ATR Dan look like setting out the battle for the final podium positions at this stage, a blanket needed for the rest of us.
Want more pictures?? Well, my new Facebook page is usually full of them, from the series im running in currently.

Re: MSA TORA Spec Cup Season 1 - Media
I shall do my wee media thing a bit later on, busy day today unfortunately!! But i couldnt let this one wait, sometimes lag can be a real pain, but then theres occasions when you just grab the best shots.
So i introduce Bli33ard, our lobby host in Lobby One last night and a very excellent job he did too, unfortunately in Race One on Lap Eight, coming around the stadium section, somebody in his household must have started to download donkey porn or something, as for 30 seconds, he went nuts, but it did produce this lovely shot, which being on Hockenheimring Sunset, just made it all that much better.

Re: MSA TORA Spec Cup Season 1 - Media
Rounds Five and Six of Season One in the TORA Spec Cup and a trip across to Germany and the Hockenheimring this week, for two races around the Short Circuit. A massive 40 cars on show this week, which is a rare thing for a series to increase in numbers as the weeks go on and well, looks like the Golf is a popular tool to enjoy some good close Spec Racing.
Qualifying this week involved a last lap bid of glory, i was sitting on a 1:15:234 going into my fifth and final flying lap, practice had seen times around the 1:15 flat mark, and low and behold, a 1:15:039 on the last lap, enough to move me up a good few positions, and thankfully, enough to lift myself into Lobby One again this week, which was no easy task, as ATR Dan, YMGR Bellmond and Angus Rules found out this week, missing out by less than 0.1 seconds, although you get the feeling they will be back battling again for the top lobby next week and just proves how close this series has been.
Race One and on pole this week was o MeaDo212 o, who produced a stunning 1:14:009 in qualifying, which was also the fastest lap of the two races, the Go Daddy Golf this week though having company from not one but two JS Racing Golf's, as XPR Eggy joined XPR Mad Dog and like his team mate, was battling out the front and eventually taking the win in Race One.
It was a bad night for the current points leader as he backed out of the opening race due to a lag related incident. Onpole.com Racing was well represented in the top lobby this week, all three drivers up there and all making positions in the opening race, including Myles Prower despite an early 'Perez Moment' as he beautifully put. The car certainly looked the business as the photo above shows.
For myself, i found myself being nice at the beginning in the opening lap, which cost me a place as Bli33ard took advantage superbly, in fact at one stage in the opening race, i started to lose the tail of the field which wasnt great, but the lap times going in were quick and above what what i had been achieving in practice this week, so perhaps it was to be expected.
On Lap eight, coming into the Stadium Section, Bli33ard's connection had a moment or two, which made for a couple of interesting pictures shall we say, but also allowed me the chance to catch up and apply a bit of pressure as i finally started getting into the Hockenheimring groove. It did reqwuire help though and unfortunately on the last corner of the final lap, Bli33ard made the mistake, running wide and i was able to make a spot up for an eighth place finish.
XPR Eggy took the win, with o MeaDo212 o second and with ATR Dan in Lobby Two and XPR Mad Dog pulling out of the race, it meant a spot on top of the standings for the Go Daddy Golf. He celebrated this fact by going out in race two and taking the win over XPR Eggy, it was a close race right the way through the race, the opening ten laps seeing the pack separated by just 400 feet, i know, as i was at the back of the pack.
Yet again, for myself, another race long battle with Bli33ard, which was superb stuff, mistakes being punished on both sides as the battle for last continued right the way to the line again.
Another entertaining evening then, congratulations to XPR Eggy and o MeaDo212 o on the wins, thank you to Bli33ard for the battle at the back, which was every lap of both races. Superb racing throughout the field and well, next week its Tsukuba Short, should be another good one then as im a weird one, i love Tsukuba, although, this will be just my second race around the Short Circuit in race conditions, best get some practice in then!!
As always, a few more pictures on my Facebook page and the thumbnails on my forum

Thank you for the kind words, i always enjoy having a write up when time allows me too and the camera does come out alot, i was really happy with the shot of Bli33ard though, nice when they fall into place like that, fingers crossed i make the R8 Cup on Saturday but prior engagements make it touch and go unfortunately.
Re: MSA TORA Spec Cup Season 1 - Media
The penultimate week of Season One in the TORA Spec Cup and 36 cars making the trip across to Japan and the testing Tsukuba Circuit for Rounds Seven and Eight, with the Short Circuit being used for the event. Now i will admit, for myself the FWD stuff is a weak point and this week at Tsukuba Short, that really showed up in practice. I was so consistent around the 49:800 - 50:000 second mark it was untrue, i very rarely broke below that time, so with the early lap time reports this week, qualifying was going to be a nervous time this week, i was confident in hitting my time, but weather that time would be good enough, that had a big question mark attached.
A time of 49:809 was posted in my opening flying lap, which was on the money for myself and the opportunity to push in the remaining laps for that extra tenth or two, as Tsukuba isnt exactly blessed with overtaking opportunities at the best of times, so qualifying was big this week. Unfortunately no improvement in the remaining laps, finishing with the second best time in the qualifying lobby, with the host XPR Mad Dog ahead, popping in a 49:397.
A nervous wait then for a lobby invite, no access to the laptop for the Live Timing this week, thankfully an invite from XPR Mad Dog coming through, so i knew a Lobby One spot had been achieved, which was the goal this week. Was it close? Hell yeah, less than half a second covering the twelve cars on the grid, and XBR Immortal running below fifty seconds and not making it the top lobby, it was a tight one this week. Tenth starting position, a tough night ahead but at least i had made the top lobby again this week.
The races then, well unfortunately for myself, it involved a mistake on the opening lap, heading into the second hairpin, a lock up and contact with Myles Prower taking the back end of the Onpole.com Golf, which thankfully cause no damage, but it did drop me back to 12th on the grid, and a spot that i could never improve on through the 24 lap race. It wasnt without the lack of trying, but progress wasnt easy, especially as the three Onpole.com Golfs were playing what appeared to be a version of the classic Cup & Ball magic trick, but in 1998 VW Golf's, as Demo Marksman, Myles Prower and Jersey Jackhawk went hammer and tong for the entire 24 lap race, is was certainly an enjoyable battle to watch and theres nothing stronger than inter-team rivalry.
XPR Mad Dog taking the flag to flag win, getting back to business after the Xbox Live failure last week at Hockenheimring. BAR Smurfy finishing second, which was a cracking reward for the superb qualifying effort and ATR Dan taking the final spot on the podium in the gorgoeus Cadbury Golf.
Race Two, rolling start and another 24 laps of Torture At Tsukuba, the start was certainly eventful, at one stage going down the back straight in what appeared to be a 3 X 3 formation, plenty of panel beating, thankfully none of which was malicious, but it certainly wasnt for the faint hearted and the pit crews and panel beaters will be earning there pennies this week before the Grand Finale next week at Camino Viejo. For myself, i started 12th and after three laps, i was still 12th, but it wasnt without my own battles, as the Yamagura Motorsports and OnPole.com Golfs were picking up the battle of the opening round again, and well YMGR Bellmond wasnt making many mistakes ahead for me to capitalize.
A couple of spots were gained, BG Wingnut396 had a moment which saw him drop to the back of the pack and Demo Marksman disconnected on the very last alp, which was harsh to say the least, but it did mean a tenth place finish for myself at the end of the second race.
XPR Mad Dog popped in another win to get the title chase back on track, with ATR Dan finishing a fine second and with no o MeaDo212 o this week, taking over the points lead going into the Grand Finale next week. BAR Smurfy rounding out a good evenings work with a third place to back up the opening race runners up spot.
So on to the final rounds next week and the challenge that is Camino Viejo de Montserrat and the Extreme Circuit, so the all round game will need to be in place. The Points battle is far for done either, just 38 points separating the top seven, ATR Dan currently leading the way from the two Yamagura Motorsports of Mystiic Viibrosis and YMGR Bellmond, with myself in fourth, BAR Smurfy just four points back of me in fifth, Angus Rules another four points back in sixth and the recovering XPR Mad Dog ready to spoil the party for the six above him given half a chance, should make for an entertaining finale then.
As always, the replays can be found on my storefront for the next seven days if they take your fancy and there will be more pictures on my Facebook Page as well as all the other events im involved in, pop along, have a look and say hello!!
