Wheelwash wrote:I shall do my wee media thing a bit later on, busy day today unfortunately!! But i couldnt let this one wait, sometimes lag can be a real pain, but then theres occasions when you just grab the best shots.
So i introduce Bli33ard, our lobby host in Lobby One last night and a very excellent job he did too, unfortunately in Race One on Lap Eight, coming around the stadium section, somebody in his household must have started to download donkey porn or something, as for 30 seconds, he went nuts, but it did produce this lovely shot, which being on Hockenheimring Sunset, just made it all that much better.
HOLY CRAP MY SIDES!!!

Re: MSA TORA Spec Cup Season 1 - Media
The Grand Finale to the first season in the TORA Spec Cup and what better way to see off the VM Golf VR6 than with a jaunt around Camino Viejo, the Extreme Version. Thirty drivers making the journey across to Spain, another cracking attendance effort for the midweek. Going into the final two rounds, ATR Dan had a slight points lead in the Championship with the two Yamagura Motorsports guys looking to pick up on any errors. As a special treat for the occasion, ATR Dan decided to discover the joy of the third pedal in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Golf, yes using the clutch for the first time in the series and like he wasnt fast enough already!!
For myself, unfortunately practice this week had been extremely limited, just an hour before the off was all i could manage, i guess you could say a lack of commitment, i would rather say, a busy old week of blood sweat and tears making it tough to get online at all, let alone actually do something useful like meaning full practice. Thankfully, the very restrictive qualifying of just two flying laps probably fell into my favour, as keeping them clean was the main order of the day, something that cost YMGR Bellmond's title dreams dearly clocking in a fantastic 3:08:697, unfortunately though, it was dirty, so a Lobby Two appearance to close out the series.
XPR Mad Dog continued the fantastic qualifying record, with another pole position in the series, ATR Dan doing his title chances the power of good in second, and those two were a good couple of seconds quicker than the rest of the pack. For myself, a solid 3:10:567, popping me 6th on the grid in Lobby One.
Solid isnt a word i would be using to describe my first race start, is wasnt great and slight contact with DC Monster158 in the GoPro Golf, meant a trip to the back of the grid. Another dropping back was Mystic Viibrosis, although the two wheeled effort on Lap Four was a stunning save and well worthy of a picture.
ATR Dan did the impossible and managed to not only hand with XPR Mad Dog, but also overtake the JS Racing Golf to claim a first victory of the season, and with the Championship on the line, the perfect time to do it.
Race two, and a thirty second delay clutch start to kick off the final round. BG Wingnut396, our Lobby Host for the evening and a stunning job as always had the field well prepped, unfortunately for myself, my senses were numbed and recognising thirty seconds on the clock was the hardest task of the day and one in which i failed miserably.
XPR Mad Dog was off, unfortunately before time, but using common sense, dropped back a few spots to eradicate any advantage gained, but this also gave ATR Dan the perfect start, a flyer out the front and away he went to seal a double on the night and clinch the Championship Title, and a big congratulations to him on the pair of wins and the title, well deserved over the five weeks of the series.
Elsewhere, Agnus Rules had a very solid evening in the Golf, erm Golf, claiming a couple of third place finishes, Mystic Viibrosis made up for the drop back in Race One, by moving back up in Race Two.
DC Monster158 liked the move in the opening race from the Yamagura Motorsports charger that he made a fantastic replica attempt in Race Two on Lap Three, again, making a fantastic save, same corner, same incident, same result.
Now you may notice the car following is my good self, The Kamei / Hannen Alt Golf seeing close hand how not to take the corner, so you would have thought that on the very next lap, i wouldnt do what i did.
If only common sense was that easy, yes, i trashed it in spectacular style. Not only 100% the aero all round, but also the engine, transmission and right rear brake somehow!! It took 41 seconds longer to complete the lap and well, its pretty safe to say that i wasnt going to see another car for the remainder of the race, in fact not only did BG Wingnut have time to take down the results for the race, but also make a pot of coffee and fix the endless broken ashtray collection currently adorning the British Gamers household.
The end of the series then and for myself, going out with a whimper really and the fact that transporting the car back from Spain in the Hand Luggage instead of the transporter, well i guess it saved on the diesel. I did buy a second hand 1997 BMW E36 M3 though, 115, 000 on the clock and it actually still works, just!! Now i wonder where i could use that then!!
