Coming Attractions
The next Friday Night Spec Series will start after the 2013 TORA LM24, but what shall it be? A return of the Nationwide Series? Ferrari 458? Modern Trans Am?

Why not a Retro trans-am series? Camaro, javelin, Challenger, mustang. A spec.

Maybe later this year, Nationawide would kinda sorta fit in with the upcoming TASCAR Series.

Re: Coming Attractions
Stock Cars, downgraded to S Class via drag tires? I could go for that, but at a later (post TASCAR) date. I understand the idea to recreate the nationwide Series, but I'd rather be something different, as two days in a row of stock cars and ovals could get redundant.
Trans Am... what about the GT1 Corvette/Aston/Viper as current gen TA?
Wingnut, I hadn't heard of you doing a MINI Cup. Since you want to run that, I'll take that off the table.

Re: Coming Attractions
Miatas taken off the table due to low support.
NASCAR Nationwide has been added to the new poll.
For those that missed the Winter Heat N'wide event at Road America, it is the same Ford and Chevy Stock Cars as used in TASCAR, but downgraded to S Class via Drag Slicks. OR we could go with NASCAR Stock Cars in stock default trim. Or we could go with current gen Challengers, Camaros and Mustangs built up to race specs.
Same situation for Trans Am... we could go with the R2 Class GT1 Corvettes/Astons/Vipers in default trim. Or the GT2 Vette, Viper and Jags also in default trim. Or go old school with the 1967-70 Mustang, Camaro, Firebird, Cuda, Challenger and Javelin.

Re: Coming Attractions
^ Yeah, but (hopefully) better grip, and unlocked tunes. I'd seen some posting for that set of cars, but I'd rather do either Drag Tires or defaul tuning on the Stock Cars.

Re: Coming Attractions
i really like the idea of the grab and go spec for tuning. That and im sure some people aren't strong tuners, myself included.

Re: Coming Attractions
I can tune better than I can drive... but there are some who blow me out of the water tuning as well.
But the whole point of the Friday Night Spec Series was to minimize tuning. Sometimes that means default settings, others it means just a couple tuning options, such as tire pressures, final drive gears and/or differential.
But, as I try to keep it true to real world racing, I rarely ever do stock production vehicles... that is what the Cycled Production Hopper is for.

Re: Coming Attractions
Damn if it's NASCAR, I don't think I can bring myself to participate. Don't get me wrong, I love racing and all, but I just can't do the whole "going in a circle counter clockwise" type of racing.
