MSA TORA TASCAR Season 3 - Meeting 1 Qualifying - Sunset Oval 250 - 30th June 2013

Qualifying For Round 1 @ Sunset Speedway will begin @ 4pm EDT (9pm BST) 30th June, 2013.

Meeting 1 Qualifying will have 2 sessions.

Qualifying Session 1:
- 4 Laps. (1 out-lap, 2 Flying Laps, 1 In-lap to collect times)
- In Years past, it would be One Driver at a time. but to save time, would use a 3-second Roll-off delay. Once each driver starts their final lap (being Lap 4), do not finish the lap. Instead, line up near the entrance to Pit Road, so lobby hosts can record times.

Session 1 lobby settings:
- Damage: Limited
- Collisions: Off

Once Session 1 of Qualifying is Finished and times are taken and Sorted, invites will be sent out for the "Quaifying Race(s) or "Session 2".
(note: Drivers a who have managed to land 1st and 2nd on qualifying times are locked into their positions regardless of Qualifying Race results)

Qualifying Session 2:
- TWO 25-lap Races**.
-----**Depending on the number of qualifiers, there may be a shorter "Heat" style race before the main 'Duel' race for a chance of the lower qualifiers to make it to the faster guys**
- Each Race will determine the "Left" and "Right" side of the starting Grid. Drivers who have a qualifying time of 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc., etc, will be in Race 1. Drivers who have a qualifying time of 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, etc., etc., will be in Race 2. Each Race will have ONE mandatory pit stop. NO "Green-White-Checkered" rules apply to the Qualifying Races, and may possibly end under caution if an incident occurs on the penultimate lap. If lead driver crosses the line to start the final lap before hand, the race will end under green.

Session 2 lobby Settings:
- Damage: Limited
- Collisions: On

Caution/Safety Car Speed: 90mph
Safety Car/Caution
In The case of a Safety Car is called, DO NOT brake to get down to Safety Car speed. this could cause chaos. Let off the throttle and let the car slow down on its own. During the Safety Car period, Everyone forms up Single-File until everyone has caught up, then the field should reform into 2-by-2 formation for the restart.




Everyone who qualifies are locked in to the Main event on July 6th. Those who do not qualify will have to Post "IN" in the Race Meeting thread for the race once it opens.

is like the "Duels" in NASCAR's Speedweeks. the finishing position will correspond where you start in the main race.

i.e.: If you finish 4th in Race 2, that'd be 8th on the grid for for the Main race. (10th if the driver who's locked into 2nd place starting position finished behind you). Like in NASCAR, the fastest 2 qualifiers are locked in, regardless of where they finish in the 'Duels'

sorry to be a pain, i tried YouTube, but those videos are only 3 or 4 minutes

its standard qually. top 2 are locked in. those who qualify 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc., etc., will run in the first 'Duel'. the finishing position in that race will determine the 'left' side of the grid. the 2nd 'Duel' sorts the 'right' side of the grid, positions 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, etc., etc., etc.
