i believe that today there is a TASCAR race running and a DTM series race.

MSA TORA TASCAR Season 3 - Saturdays - 21:30 BST, 16:30 EST

TCR German TCC - Saturdays - 2pm EST

DTM may be a great place to start, as there is no tuning required, so you'll see where your skill level stacks up.
